Good, Gay vibes only.

So a former US based Neo-Nazi leader of the National Alliance, Shaun Walker, is apparently campaigning in the Canadian Province of Ontario for Maxime Bernier’s Far Right People’s Party of Canada.

Links:

There’s an Antifa blog that has a little more info to go off of than just this, with more screenshots re: Walker in Canada.

yall look at this shit ad*be is tryna pull now on ppl who have outdated software:

(note for context: i’m all for piracy, but in this case my copy of CS6 was downloaded years ago when they were giving it away to students. i got it totally legally.)

so here is what NOT to do if you’re a loyal fan of adobe who has the cash to shell out for a newer and shittier version of the product you already paid for.

1) DON’T use your search bar to find and open the Run app

2) DON’T type in services.msc

3) DON’T find Adobe Genuine Software Integrity Services and right-click to get a dropdown menu, and don’t select ‘properties’

4) if you happen to click properties, DON’T use the startup type dropdown to locate the option to disable the program. be sure you DON’T click apply to finalize that change.

5) DO NOT do the same thing in order to also disable Adobe Genuine Software Monitor

if you do all of these things, this WILL disable adobe’s ability to monitor the software, and you will be forced to continue using the same older software that you already paid for instead of having to sign up for a newer, shittier version and pay more for it. so if you have lots of cash to spare and are cool with putting it the pockets of racketeering capitalists, definitely don’t do any of these things.

however, you SHOULD reblog this to spread the word, as we certainly want to make sure lots of people know what NOT to do :)

Is this about Seattle’s recruitment dropping almost to 0 after the implementation of the living wage? Does anybody have a link?

Avatar

YES! it is!

"Since the Army is not subject to local minimum wage laws, Seattle pay now outstrips what locals could earn by signing up for the Army. $15 per hour is not only more than the base pay for privates, but corporals and specialists as well."

Fuck this article for trying to make me sympathize with the military complex tho. Boo-hoo, Sargent Bootlicker won't get Friday off for failing to sign up new recruits

Here's the thing about shows like South Park and Family Guy that make their money off of being edgy and offensive. They fundamentally reduce their viewers' capacity for empathy. If I found a joke funny, and you found it offensive, you're just too sensitive. This is directly related to the ride of the alt right and the election of trump. In this essay I will

OP WHERE'S THE FUCKING ESSAY

So instead of writing the essay this is exactly what I'm talking about. This shit reduces your capacity for empathy. If you can't understand why people are hurt by a simple joke, nay, think that's the whole point... How the hell are you supposed to feel for someone when they come to you complaining of ACTUAL oppression? It's the foot in the door phenomenon. A little oppression isn't too bad, cuz it's funny, right? It hardens your heart against others

Somebody actually wrote this essay already. It's a Twitter thread about how the alt right recruits teenage boys by getting them to post slightly offensive memes... And then when they get called out and don't understand why the alt right channels their anger at feminists and women and people of color and liberals. According to this thread, boys are being "set up"

Read the whole thread at the link above this is just a snip

"offensive" shows like Family Guy are a precursor to the alt right and you can't change my mind

IMPORTANT NOTE: THE CHRIS EVANS LISTED IS NOT CAPTAIN AMERICA CHRIS EVANS, ITS BRITISH RADIO HOST CHRIS EVANS, MOST KNOWN FOR HIS BDSM SEX DUNGEON THAT WAS IN THE PAPERS. DONT SPREAD MISINFORMATION.

^^It is pretty important that we do not confuse one person with a name with another person with that same name.

Posts discussing transmisogyny, made by people who don’t suffer from it, near universally receive more attention than posts made by actual trans girls. That is something I have observed and remarked on several times already.

The reason for this (I assume, seeing as I don’t have firsthand knowledge), is because being told “We need to do better about transmisogyny” by a more relatable, less hostile appearing tme person, helps to relieve them of some of the guilt that comes with being told what they’re doing is shitty. As opposed to when a trans girl (Such as myself) makes a post about transmisogyny, and is speaking much more directly (And sometimes vaguely hostilely) at the reader.

And sure. I get that being yelled at through the screen by a trans girl because you’re transmisogynistic, isn’t very preferable compared to someone who doesn’t experience transmisogyny, and is thus able to approach the topic with a more emotionally detached, more calm perspective.

To decide that trans girls are “too aggressive” in how they discuss transmisogyny/present their issues to TME people, is transmisogynistic. Transmisogyny is omnipresent in the lives of trans girls, and damn near strips us of any sense of personhood.

It is a luxury to be able to look upon trans girls discussing the horrific ways in which transmisogyny has impacted then, and decide “Actually, she’s being kinda a bitch so I don’t care”.

Understand that, as trans people who aren’t trans girls, you have it better than trans girls so. Plain and simple. As such, if you want to consider yourself a good ally, you have a moral obligation to hold yourself accountable for your own transmisogyny.

It doesn’t matter how “uncomfortable” it may make you to consider such things, because guess what? You can look away from trans girls trying to point out and bring attention to transmisogyny, to spare your own feelings. But us trans girls do not have the privilege of looking away to spare our precious feelings. More than that, transmisogyny is infinitely more impactful and damaging than taking 2 minutes to read a post from a trans girl, and hitting reblog.

Do better.

You need to listen even if you feel attacked.

Reading posts on the internet from marginalized communities discussing how they are marginalized and how those with privilege over them are hurting them are a good way to learn how to do better, because:

1. These posts are not necessarily aimed at attacking you personally, like the above post

2. You can work through your emotional and educational journey to understand and absorb the information in the posts without hurting other people, especially when you feel attacked by the content of the post or how it is written in order to go on to do better.

So when you read a post that is written in an emotional way instead of in a detached way as you may prefer, and you feel attacked by that, remind yourself:

1. The post is not necessarily addressing you as an individual

2. Ask yourself why you feel attacked

3. Once you have answered that question, ask yourself how you can do better, then do that

PLEASE WATCH THIS VIDEO YALL BC THIS TYPE OF SHIT IS STILL GOING ON TODAY. AT LEAST THE FIRST COUPLE SECONDS!

Not even actual murderers agree with you lmfao

#5Years: August 9 will always be bittersweet for me. Mike Brown should be here today, plain and simple. He deserved a full and joyful life. In the wake of his murder, so many of us have been reborn though. Nothing will ever make his loss worth it, but I am forever grateful to the movement born out of it. On August 9, 2014, the people of Ferguson rose up, and the world has never been the same since.

Rest in Power, Peace, and Love, Mike Brown. We will never forget you. We fight for you now and forever. #StayWoke #FarFromOver #MikeBrownForever
