why isn’t political lesbianism (and other examples of homophobia) seen as just as bad as misogyny? if you’d encourage women to cut sexist men out of their lives and call out their misogynistic beliefs and works, but it would be some violent attack for us to call out a woman’s homophobia, then it’s clear you don’t see homophobia as equally severe as you do misogyny. yes if andrea dworkin was alive and advocated for political lesbianism then real lesbians would say something about it. that’s not a bad thing. seems like you’ve drank the genius myth cool-aid and think there are some “heroes” beyond criticism.

Can the women out there who opt out of body hair removal reblog this? We can show people that we exist, and show others that they’re not alone.

Some of y'all need to know that you are lesbophobic and your lesbian friends are probably just tolerating you or afraid of confrontation. Bc some of y'all are getting wayyyyy too fucking comfortable saying weird shit about us lately

can OSA people stop comparing their treatment as an OSA person to homosexual experiences within the church please. It's homophobic.

Just find another comparison. You can be upset about your experience without pretending it's the same

Spiritual abuse isn't women being mean to you on the internet, even if that behavior is unacceptable, it is not the same. We don't have a god, there is no higher power. You are dealing with peer opinions. Unfortunately 'God' and religious indoctrination is far larger than any feminist sphere, and to a lot of people, many homosexuals included, he is "real" to them. They believe they face an eternity of excruciating suffering who being who they are. They deal with both peer opinions and the idea that theres an omnipotent mind-reading all-powerful being who will punish them. And it's all around them. There is a reason Spiritual Abuse is seen as cult tactics and is taken as seriously as is. It also just doesn't go away when you cease being religious. That's not the same as being told by mean people on the internet that your behavior is not in line with the political ideology you subscribe to.

I dont wish to enter the discourse on anything else other than for OSA people to stop comparing the abuse homosexuals face via Christianity to literally anything.

Where is this coming from? Who is saying this? This is unacceptable.

my sister in tumblr you reblogged the post this is about

I’m a massive prude, sorry ❤ I don’t believe that something feeling good means it actually *is* good for one’s health. I love chocolate but my dentist would prefer it if I never ate it again.

We can’t have healthy sexuality until we acknowledge how our conception of sexuality is shaped by what men in a patriarchal society find sexy… and actually do something to fix it.

no apologies here babeeee

This is why lesbians should maintain a distance from the feminist establishment. They’ll make you think that having functioning hormones means that you’re some sort of misogynist. Look at the tags under this person’s reblog.

It’s so horrible that feminism as an institution has been allowed to get away with so many uninformed and unsubstantiated bad takes about human sexuality.

Many feminists, and radical feminists in particular, are basically saying things like “our sexuality is shaped by men’s desires” because they don’t want to acknowledge that their core assumptions might be wrong and that women might have some “problematic” preferences that aren’t the fault of men. Lesbian sexuality, unlike what radical feminist literature strongly suggests, has nothing to do with men. It has nothing to do with what they do or do not find attractive, it doesn’t exist to “get back at men” or assert any political stance and it doesn’t exist to suit heterosexual feminist sensibilities. It just is. We don’t find certain qualities or traits attractive because we observe straight men finding these same traits attractive because homosexuality isn’t a result of societal influence - lesbianism isn’t an imitation of male heterosexuality though many feminists have implied as such or even said so explicitly.

Tbh young lesbians need to know that there are women who have never dated men and have exclusively dated women their entire lives. There are women who have never had sex with men and never experimented with men. There are women who have known that they were lesbians for their entire lives and have never doubted that. It’s so important to hear these voices in a world where heterosexuality seems inescapable for so many young women.

Anonymous asked:

Have you ever actually read the Bible? No, God did not "dare" anyone to kill a baby nor did he command such a thing. People will fabricate anything to criticize the Bible.

he said “rip that baby up” in a game show host voice, very distasteful

i must not miss class. missing class is the mind-killer. missing class is the little-death that brings total obliteration. i will face my lecture. i will permit it to pass over me and through me. and when it has gone past i will turn the inner eye to see its path. where the class has gone there will be nothing. only i will remain.

Saying “culture changes” in response to the statement “lesbians are homosexual females and men cannot be lesbians nor can women who are attracted to males” is a complete logical fallacy. Female homosexuality exists regardless of culture. The word lesbian means female homosexual. So lesbians exist regardless of culture. No one gives a shit if culture changes.

You're right and you should say it louder!!
