Call We are two friends who just really love Metal Gear, you guys. This blog is for our fanart. Quality may vary. run by: ren and wachtel

my good ol laptop died :’( but the new one is topshelf, so moving on.

How do you think The Boss would go about babysitting Mantis and Eli?

Y’KNOW I often think about what if The Boss would have been the main character of the 60s-80s era games instead of Big Boss. Man that would be RAD. I think if she’d encounter floaty and stabby she’d drop some grade A inspiration on them and they’d either end up reformed or messed up in an entirely fresh way

Do you guys ship anything in the MGS fandom? Or are you rather ashamed of us shipping fangirls and fanboys? :-D Your comics are the best I swear. I just feel like you sure are above such things. (not as arrogant, rather as completly not interested at all)

i don’t think we really ship anything except maybe one-sided bb/ocelot for 50 years of heartbreakIt’s just that the most interesting relationships in MGS are of a different nature - Family, respect, friendship, world ending hatred - that’s entertainment enough for us

edit: I totally forgot about MGR - scratch all of that just draw any monsoon ship from a hat

what do I do with spoilers?

I don’t know how to handle posting spoiler-y fanart on tumblr OTL Is tagging as spoilers enough? Does anyone even care about TPP spoilers at this point? Edit: Thanks for the messages! I’ll tag “mgsv spoilers”/“tpp spoilers”!

here’s a pile of my old mgs fanart from long before we made this blog :’ I mgs is tied to so many dear memories of visiting friends in other parts of germany just to binge play and cry a lot over videogames - also it was one of the things that first made me attempt to draw characters, which was really darn difficult for me at the time but I had fun with it : D

If you're done go to youtube and look up mission 51 Kingdom of the Flies (a cut mission which they showed in the collector's edition blu-ray) and look up nuclear disarmament cutscene (a hidden scene, suggested that the only way to unlock it is to play FOBs online and disarm EVERYONE'S nukes, so of course no one has naturally gotten it and it's only been seen through data-mining the PC version).

Just saw that. My tears are real.Seriously they must’ve run out of time or budget, or something. I don’t think cutting that was a decision made by the development team

ok NOW that you're finished, how did you like it

(some whining, not really spoilers)

I am trying to see it for what it is and to not thinkabout the crap that’s been going on with Konami and their relationship withKojima in particular - but it DOES show. TPP feels thin and unfinished in parts : (It was tons of fun to play - but aside from creative gameplay what I love somuch about MG is this convoluted, beautiful mess of a story and TPP didn’t do a very good job of adding to that. Since it’s announcement I was hoping TPP would wrap up the series and put a bow on it, instead of being a (weirdly bitter) episode of it’s own - introducing a whole new concept to BBscharacter that is somewhere between kind of interesting and just incrediblytrope-y and unnecessary.I commend them for trying something different but if there was ever a time for shameless referencing of previous installments in the history of storytelling, it was now. More than just a little hint in form of a cassette label. Everyone playing this IS already a fan - if you haven’t played any of the other games then …how do you deal with this nonsense, lol. Anyhow, if your entire audience is fans who were waiting to play this missing link in between BB and Snake’s stories then why confuse things further with all this instead of granting us closure.I do like TPP and I’ll get backto having fun with it but for the moment I’m just sulking because I didn’t get what I wanted
