Paperback is a light and clean theme for the literate. Select and tweak your titles, colors, and footer features, including a new Instagram feed. Understated yet polished, Paperback is perfect for personal & professional blogs alike.
Paperback offers a wide array of configurable options, all easily accessed in the customization sidebar. Your recent Tweets, share button, portrait, description, blogs you follow, header, theme credit, RSS link, and archive are all togglable. Additionally, Paperback allows you to customize these fields' names too, including the Following list, Social links, Tweets, RSS, and Archive sections.Instagram Footer Feed
Paperback's most unique feature is a footer feed displaying recent images uploaded to your Instagram account. Unlike other third party integration apps (e.g. Twitter, Soundcloud) that simply require your username, Instagram requires you to authorize Paperback Theme to have access to your photos. It's super easy though, using your Instagram "Access Token:"
First, go here and (after logging in) you'll be redirected to a page displaying your "Instagram Access Token." Copy it!
Now head back to Paperback's customization sidebar and paste the Access Token into the corresponding "Instagram Access Token" field. Customize the field's name and color, and you're all set!Color, Background, and Portrait Customization
Paperback supports custom hex colors for the Background, Accent, Links, Title and Questions, Body Text, and Footer/Header fields. Paperback also allows custom portrait (optimally sized at 220x220px) and (stretchable) background images.Customizable Header
Paperback's header can be toggled on/off, and customized to "float" or follow scrolling, or stay fixed at the top of the screen.Facebook or Disqus Comments
Facebook Platform functions allow you to enable Facebook as your blog's commenting system. This process looks a little overwhelming, but it's quite simple.
- First, head to the Facebook Developer site, sign up and click on Set Up New App.
- Input any name you'd like for your hypothetical app (you're not actually making one, don't worry), agree to the ToS and click Create. You're almost done!
- Input your Contact Email (in Basic Info) as well as your blog's URL into the "Site URL" box (in the Website tab) and save your changes.
- Copy the App ID located just below your app's name and you're all set. Now head back to your blog and input your App ID into the "Facebook API ID" field in the customization sidebar, and make sure you've checked "Facebook Comments On."
Disqus commenting is the same as it ever was. Grab your website shortname, found in the General Settings of your Disqus dashboard, and copy it into the appropriate sidebar field.Social Media
Paperback's social media section (located in the footer) features a customizable title and easy username/URL setup to Facebook, Instagram*, Typekit, Dribbble, Flickr, Foursquare, Github, Google Plus, LastFM, LinkedIN, Rdio, Vimeo, and YouTube. [*you can still link to your Instagram via a standard social media icon if you choose not to use Paperback's more deluxe Instagram feed].
Paperback also supports Google and Clicky Analytics.Additional Page Support
As always, Paperback supports the creation and management of additional pages, with links displayed in the header.
