Day 30 (cont.) | Zhongshan Park Area

There’s only so much you can do to settle into a studio. After we unpacked as much as we could, Mom and I decided to hunt for a local supermarket.  We made a loop on Changning Road checking out where we could eat and the “local sites.”

We found a 85C Cafe in the shopping center complex next to the Elite Residence, where I will be living the next month.

We got lucky and a fresh batch of pizza-like rolls just exited the oven so we purchased some to snack on as we wandered around the area:

There was a Metro Mall that had a mix of boutiques and US-brand name stores. We found a 2-floor Carrefour right at the Zhongshan Park metro stop exit 2, food was on B2, toiletries on B3. No need to worry about not finding my Dove body wash or Pantene ProV Shampoo and Conditioner!

Maybe because it was the weekend, but the mall was overwhelmingly warm, we escaped back to the apartment stopping by the Happy Lemon drink shop that is conveniently also located right next to the apartment:

The place not only sells milk tea and coffees, it also sells fruit teas, matcha teas, and random concoctions with some kind of “rock salt cheese…”

There’s even a 24hr-open KFC across the street, so I don’t have to worry about going hungry.
