You, Appearing

M83

This is the song I listened to driving home for 20 miles on mopac.

Did you know they turn out the streetlights? I never noticed but tonight I drove under one right as it went out. I guess they do it at 1 am, but it may have just been coincidence and I may have just seen it burn out, because from all the turned off lights I saw, I couldn’t figure out any sort of pattern.

I also found out that trains travel at 55 mph, and that it’s hard to gauge their speed and count their cars at the same time.

I realized the first traffic light off mopac on the way to my house stays red for 19 seconds, but I may have miscounted.

On that same street, I saw that the road is paved in a way that makes its hill look like a series of flat inclines that all together create something close to a curve.

And, as I pulled into my neighborhood behind the tree I always think is a person, but is in fact always a tree, I realized the person who’d been driving near me for the last couple miles lives just down the street.

Those are the things I noticed driving home tonight, and this is the song I played on repeat while I was noticing these things, so consider this post cohesive.
