this was the week that was at work

4 crying women
1 crying man
1 70 year old man with no teeth and a side ponytail
5 people who pulled the “I pay your salary” crap
18 miles walked during the course of my work days (thank you, fitbit)
28 hours of talking to people
823 (appx) repetitions of “Someone over 18 not a party to the action must complete your service” and other such statements
1 person who told me it’s harassment for a creditor to ask for money they are owed when they know damn well he quit his job because he “is tired of the working life bullshit”
1 person who said I should take her and her family in when they get evicted because it’s somehow my fault the judge denied their stay order
1 person who decided to tell me an entire sob story while there were 18 people in line behind her and five minutes into her story I realized she was talking about a tv show
1 male attorney with a foot long braid
1 dude in a poncho and cowboy hat whistling that lumineers song
4 instances of what can be described as sexual harassment
1 person who refused to give back the pen they borrowed from me because “it’s county property and I pay county taxes therefore it’s really mine”
40 hours of what the fuck
8 people who told me they wouldn’t want my job for all the money in the world
500 (appx) people dealt with
5 people who thanked me for helping them
1 payday
2 birthday lunches
15 mini kit kats eaten to sustain my energy
1 full moon

This is a little recording I did over the summer with Paapa. I wrote it and he played the guitar/helped me record it. We called it Serenity. It’s incomplete, but hopefully it will be finished sometime soon :)
