30 Days of Summer Break Doctor Who Day 28
Day 28: Name a Whoism that you use in real life.

I say “Spoilers” and “Hello, sweetie” a lot! And not just because I cosplay River! I always feel just a bit more sassy when I’m quoting River.
I also like to tell people I see wearing bowties that bowties are cool.

And then I just walk away, wondering if they got it or not.
Day 28: Name a Whoism that you use in real life
Can I say the T.A.R.D.I.S.?
I’m sorry, but I can basically think up something in reference to the T.A.R.D.I.S. in any given moment, especially when the conversation involves distance or transportation.
I love this beautiful piece of machinery & I’m waiting for the day when I hear it’s landing noises outside my house in the middle of the night.
Day 28 - Name a Whoism that you use in real life.
“Spoilers!”
Okay, I’m on Tumblr pretty much all the time. And River Song pretty much covers what Tumblr is - one big batch of spoilers. (But I love spoilers, so it’s all good)
“Come Along, Pond!”
I plan on saying this one more often because it’s fantastic. It’s better than “follow me”.
30 Days of Doctor Who: Day 28 - Name a Whoism that you use in real life.
By Whoism, I assume you mean “an ism’ that is used in Doctor Who. And by “ism” I assume you mean something that is said/done so much you can only associate it with Doctor Who.
So…
The term “Stupid face” as a term of endearment. I call my little sister that almost all the time, but she knows I mean it in the best way possible. I don’t know if that really counts though, since we do it for fun.
“I wear a ___ now, ___ are cool”/”___ are cool” and “Bananas are good” are 2 that I use pretty frequently. I am also known to use “Allons-y” a lot before heading off soemwhere. I love that one! Sometimes I use “Spoilers” but not as much as my friend does.
Once or twice when somebody asked for the time I said “Wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey…stuff.” while I took my cell out of my pocket. It destroyed that awkward silence there was while the other person patiently waited…and confused the hell out of them.
Also, I stare at statues & count shadows…a lot. Is that a Whoism, or is that just an irrational fear? xD
But I often make many other connections to Doctor Who in a conversation that nobody else would. I also throw DW quotes that work in my situation into a conversation and wait for others to notice. It’s fun ^_^
Day 27: What scene makes you hide behind the sofa?
I’m too big for that now! I hid form the Daleks the first time I ever saw them. Well, their shadow. You know, when Barbara is walking and she turns and sees this thing that we can’t see and she screams like “AHHH!”

Day 28: Name a Whoism that you use in real life
- I use “Allons-y”, like, every day. The ever useful “Hey-who turned out the lights?”.
- There’s also “Fantastic!” and “Brilliant” and “Weeelllllllll….”.
- I used “spoilers” forever ago, before River came into the picture (FMA:Abridged).
- “Would you like a Jelly Baby?”
- ”______s are cool”
- “reverse the polarity of the neutron flow” when my dad asks for help with something
- “Brave heart, Tegan” but only at the barn.
- And finally: “Run.”
30 Days of Summer Break Doctor Who: Day 28
Name a Whoism that you use in real life.
I often use the phrase “[…] are cool!”
As well as “Spoilers…!”
“Allons-Y Alonso!” is a must. Always. (Yes, the “Alonso” has to be there.)
“Wibbly-Wobbly Timey-Wimey…” is great when talking about something confusing of complicated. Like in maths class.
And of course: “Bananas are good!” Although I don’t like bananas. So instead I just say it about something else. And of course it has to be with Nine’s accent.
And since I don’t have many friends who like Doctor Who or even know what it is, no one really get the point of these phrases. But you know, as long as them make me happy… ;)
