Guest Announcements: Wendy Powell and Cynthia Cranz

The lovely Cynthia Cranz!
Cynthia Cranz is honored to be at NDK and looks forward to meeting fans both old and new!
She is best known for her work in anime at Funimation Entertainment and Okatron 5000. Her most notable roles are: Chi Chi in Dragon Ball Z (beginning in 1999 through current), Boton in Yu Yu Hokusho, Mitch in Case Closed, Paninya in Full Metal Achemist , Bellemere and Onion in One Piece, and Mitzi on Chin Chan.
Other favorite roles include: Chieko in Princess Jellyfish, Rika in Summer Wars, Diana in Lupin the Third, Coach Momoe in Big Windup, Fei Ku in Negima, Hisae in Kodocha, Lisa in Soul Eater and Ferro in Gun Slinger Girl.
She has also voiced characters in such shows as: Shikabane Hime, D. Gray-man, Heroic Age, Beck, Tsubasa, Galaxy Railways, Sprial, Kiddy Grade, Fruits Basket, Spikeout and D7 Peacemaker.
And NDK family member Wendy Powell, back for a special encore appearance!

Wendy has been a professional voice actress for FUNimation Entertainment and Okratron 5000 for over 10 years. Most well known as the Homunculus named Envy in Fullmetal Alchemist, she’s also starred in Yu Yu Hakusho as Mukuro, D. Gray-Man as Hevlaska, Shirguri as Iku, and Claymore as Ilene.
Wendy is also often known for smaller parts, in which she usually dies a most painful death. Some of her credits include: Katsuko Momose in Chaos;Head, Emi in Baki The Grappler, Amick in Blue Gender, The Fever Demon in Shin Chan, Kyo’s Mother in Fruits Basket, Kasuga in Negima and Paula “Lady Death” in Trinity Blood. She has also voiced characters in: Baka & Test, Soul Eater, School Rumble, Kiddy Grade, Case Closed, Sgt. Frog, Peach Girl, xxxHolic, One Piece, Galaxy Railways, Tsubasa, Gunslinger Girl, Moon Phase, Glass Fleet, and many others.
As a teacher by day, evil villain by night (same job, right?), Wendy most loves the theatre, with anime coming up as a close second.

I went to Animinneapolis and...
IT WAS AWESOME! I got hugged by Vic Mignogna (Tamaki, Spirit, Ed Elric, Zero, and many more) and it was basically the best experience of my life. Also there were Wendy Powell (Envy), Greg Ayres (Koaru), and Sonny Strait (Maes Hughes). I went and got all of their autographs cause I’m a fangirl like that and When I got Sonny Strait’s I asked if he would say something about Gracia and he said, “Well when I first met Gracia my heart lept, then something else lept, then I lept on her, and then we had a kid.” So scratch what I said about the hug from Tamaki/Ed/Spirit, THAT trumps all moments of my life ever. I guess I’ll end with that and post other awesome things about Animinneapolis later. This’ll just be the people post.
Wendy Powell, English voice of Envy from Fullmetal Alchemist, is the proud new mommy of the CUU-TEST baby boy named Charlie.
I am so happy for her. It’s about dang time, I say! She’s been wanting this for years. If anyone else is friends with her on Facebook, go give your congratulations!
Seeing that little nugget makes me realize how lucky some women are. I’ll probably never be able to have kids, but I guess that makes me able to appreciate them even more! My family’s bad genes will die with me, thank goodness.
