Who wouldn't want us to get our Welcome emails from Pottermore?

Multiple Pottermore Accounts

If you have multiple Pottermore accounts… By all means, do us all a favor and DELETE the extra ones. I had no less than TWELVE spare accounts made (a lot of my friends were on a college-related trip together and I was left with the burden of making accounts for everyone… so I registered A LOT of them, so that they could choose the usernames they liked best) and when the emails started being sent out, I erased all but the one I plan on using. If you have accounts that you don’t need (or simply multiple accounts) you’re taking away other people’s shot as getting their welcome email… I’ve heard of people with 7 accounts, and all of them already on Pottermore – how is that fair?!? Six more people would’ve received their welcome emails and entered the site, had that person erased his/her extra accounts.

And this goes to everyone: people, if you have multiple accounts… DELETE them! You’re not being fair to all of the others who’re waiting for their emails!

Yes, even MAKING extra accounts was wrong… but the least you can do now if freaking DELETE them!

Can everyone stop bitching about their Pottermore emails being late and realize there are riots all through London right now? Your emails are the least of their worries.

Pottermore Welcome Mail Release Dates:

People have been wondering if the dates released are legit. I did list my original source in the original post but i guess it has gotten deleted during the reblogging process.

Dates by Dragon Blogger:

  • Day 1 August 8-14,
  • Day 2 August 15-21,
  • Day 3 August 22-28,
  • Day 4 August 29-September 4,
  • Day 5 September 5-11,
  • Day 6 September 12-18,
  • Day 7 September 19-25

As stated in the article these are speculation and potential dates based on some interesting mathematical guess work. However, the Pottermore Insider themselves stated this would be a first come, first serve basis. I wouldn’t be surprised if some kind of lottery system is deployed but I believe it still will be based on clue day. Also, the official pottermore website did say that those who found the magical quill can expect their welcome email anytime between August 7-September 30. If it is on a first come first serve basis, then these dates are really plausible.

Whilst trolling the web i found another set of theorized release dates by another blogger:

Dates by The Last Muggle:

  • First Day Registrants: August 8th – August 14th.
  • Second Day Registrants: August 15th – August 21st
  • Third Day Registrants: August 22nd – August 28th
  • Fourth Day Registrants: August 29th – September 4th
  • Fifty Day Registrants: September 5th – September 11th
  • Sixth Day Registrants: September 12th – September 18th
  • Seventh Day Registrants: September 19th – September 30th

As you can see, the dates are very similar (save for the seventh day registrants). The Last Muggle also brought up a very interesting point:

“Word on the wizarding streets is that letters will be sent out between August 8th and September 30th.

7 days of registration and 7 weeks of welcome letters. Is it just an interesting coincidence, or a sign of when you can expect your owl to arrive?”

Well we all know how much Ms. Rowling loves her 7’s so i would not be surprise if this is the case.

ONCE AGAIN, THESE ARE ALL JUST THEORYS AND SPECULATIONS SUPPORTED BY EDUCATED GUESSWORKS AND SOME CALCULATIONS. There are no official dates released yet.

Has anyone gotten their emails today?

On August 17th.  Has anyone gotten a pottermore email?  Just trying to find out if the day’s hope is gone yet or not.

My brother is a genius

Okay so they said that they would start sending the emails in the middle of august. The week of the middle of august is the week of the 14th. So if they started sending pottermore emails out the week of august 14, then there is exactly 7 weeks till September 30th.

So most likey this will be the time frame for everyone to get their emails

assuming this is what they did.

142,857 people got in for each clue.

August 14: 20,408 people from day 1 get it.

August 15: 20,408 people from day 1 get in.

and so on through august 20th

so

August 14th- 20th: Day one people

August 21st- 27th: Day 2 people

August 20th- Sep. 3: Day 3 people

Sep. 4th-10th: Day 4 people

Sep. 11th- 17th: Day 5 people

Sep. 18- 24th: Day 6 people

Sep. 25th- 30th: Day 7 people

AWESOMESAUCE. So excited

Keeping hopes high that we’ll get our Pottermore emails. :)

And for anybody that’s spoiling it for anyone else?

Pottermore welcome emails in memes

So I saw I got the second email and I was like

And I click on it and I’m like

And then I start to read and I’m like

And then when I realized I have to wait for a third email I was like

And then I was like

But then I was like

And Pottermore/JKR/Sony were like

I have a really hard time believing that a site like Pottermore would have such a careless typo on their official welcome screen.

I also find it hard to believe that only one person got their email and only one person got into Pottermore.

If it’s real, then great for her. But I’m seriously getting sick of all the trolling going on.

People who have gotten their Pottermore Welcome Emails already need to stop bitching about “wehh should I get an owl or a cat?”, “weh I wanted Gryffindor”,”weh why isn’t Pottermore loading”, “weh stupid Pottermore glitches”, “wehhhh wehhh wehh”

Then there’s all of us who havent even gotten our emails yet.

AT LEAST YOU’RE ON!

I got in on Day 1 and still haven’t gotten my email. Stop bitching, lucky ones.

You know, I really wouldn't mind waiting - if I know that there is a whole lot of point to it. Right now, what I just need is a notice from Pottermore that emails are being regularly sent out BASED ON A SYSTEM and there is no need to get clinically crazy yet. I understand, of course, that the team has got a lot on their plates, but a simple 'Hello, everyone, calm yo' tits, we are in charge' would do wonders for me.

Pottermore Insider: Welcome Emails

“The good news is that we no longer expect to pause sending these (as mentioned in our Beta testing and Welcome emails post). Instead, we plan to send emails out DAILY over the next two weeks.

Last Emails Sent: Thursday, September 8th

Today is September 17th
