170 Days Sober

An exam today on cellular respiration and photosynthesis. Err. 

The dopamine neurotransmitters have been hijacked by the new boy. No idea where it’s going but it feels good? A little crazy? Isn’t that how it always is in the beginning of a new romance? 

Gotta stay focused.

Researching a cleanse I plan to do once I’m out of school. It’s fairly straightforward. Three weeks, no processed foods, no preservatives, no dairy, lots of low glycimic fruits and veggies. Three weeks, three meals a day - two liquid and one solid. No caffeine! Ah! I’m making a list of pantry items that I can start stocking up on. I have a few friends who are in the midst of it and the results are uncanny. Weight loss, smoother digestion, eyesight improvement, decrease in inflammation and bloating…the list goes on and on. Stoked. 

I can’t believe I’m almost 6 months sober. If I look back on where I was at last year this time, it’s when shit started to get out of hand until ultimately, it all fell apart. I feel like I’m on the other side of the fence now. No longer wishing to shut the door on the past and no longer in agonizing pain wanting my old life back. I’m finding peace and acceptance where I am today and all I want is to continue moving forward.

Comida: Ensalada de atún con 2 galletas

Entrecomida: Taza de palomitas naturales

Cena: 2 Salchichas de pavo asadas con verduras y media cucharada de mayonesa light. 

Staying happy, no struggle

This is a very good way of looking at things.Even though some things are a struggle, it’s worth having fun. It’s not worth being bitter.The more positive you think, the more things are going to occur. When I decided to go on a diet, I decided to use Tumblr to stay motivated. It worked, I lost 4 pounds in 6 days. I have 44 more to go, and maybe more than that. When I decided to drop the “struggle” things began to fall into place. 

You’re never going to get to any final place. And so, we want to remind you to relax and start having fun on the way.

Non Scale Victories...

I’m no where near my goal weight, but it was so nice to be able to post a picture on FB without having taken it from an upper angle to make my face look slimmer. I just took it at the normal, straight in front of me angle and my face has really thinned out.. Exciting times. (:
