Alright I know I have already talked about it a lot yes I am aware of that but looking at fanart and caps of Manjoume now just hurts me BECAUSE! HE’S GROSS! AND IT’S REALLY UPSETTING?
1) HE IS ADMITTING THAT HE EITHER DOES NOT BATHE FREQUENTLY OR DOES NOT WASH HIMSELF ADEQUATELY WHEN HE DOES (NECK! DIRT!)
2) HE IS ADMITTING THAT HE EXPECTS HIS CLOTHES TO GET UNCOMMONLY DIRTY IN ANTICIPATED AND AVOIDABLE WAYS AND YET LETS THEM GO UNWASHED FOR INDETERMINABLE PERIODS OF TIME REGARDLESS
3) HE IS ADMITTING THAT HE PURPOSELY DRESSES IN DARK CLOTHES TO ACCOMMODATE HIS UNSANITARY HABITS BECAUSE HE IS CONCERNED ENOUGH ABOUT HIS IMAGE THAT HE PUTS EFFORT INTO BEING OUTWARDLY PRESENTABLE, WHICH MEANS THAT HE IS WORKING HARD TO ALLOW HIMSELF TO REMAIN AS DIRTY AS POSSIBLE WITHOUT PEOPLE NOTICING
AND I LOOK AT FANART AND THINK OH HE HAS SUCH A GOOD FACE WHAT NICE FANART OH WOW LOOK AT ALL THESE CAPS OF HIM BEING COOL

I just had to explain what fanfiction was to my mother and my brother????
Because when I saw my mother reading fifty shades of grey and was like, “Don’t you know that’s basically twilight fanfiction?!??!?!?!?!?!?” I got some blank, confused looks & “wait, fanfiction? what? what’s that?”
and then I told them that it makes me really sad that such an awful book is selling so well & getting such attention when there is actual proper talent out there not getting its deserved recognition, and I received some even stranger looks
