The team at bpmw*** have done an amazing job at turning a seemingly boring trade show into an interactive, fun event. After all, that’s what fashion loves to do, just look at what we’ve done to fashion week! Just kidding, it’s not all bad, I’m not a trade event grinch. Men’s Capsule is a notorious hot mess, in a good way, a place where all the dudes can geek out over raw denim and drink some beers. Don’t even roll your eyes and say to yourself “IT’S MORE THAN THAT” because it’s definitely that, for the Internet anyway. Needless to say, the scene at the women’s show is a bit different, as ladies are a bit more sErIoUs. Regardless, I went to Capsule and the kind peeps at We Are the Market asked me to pick my favorite 5 things, so let’s look at that.
They probably thought I would be normal and pull together a cohesive outfit, but alas, that’s not how it went down. Instead I picked 5 things I truly liked (clearly without a theme). Click for the details, please and thanks.

I stopped by Capsule and shared my favorite pieces from the show with We Are The Market. My picks include ~~rad thangs~~ from Timo Weiland, Rodebjer, Miista, Antipodium, and Albertus Swanepoel, but everything I liked is pink. So that’s it: pink is freaking in for spring. wearethemarket.comMy grandmother was a meticulous and gifted Tailor. She was a single mother with six children who supported her household with her skills but she also made clothes for her five daughters, so she was always drawing out patterns, cutting and sewing. And I was often her shadow. I’m so grateful I spent that time with her and that she passed on as much as I’d take the time to absorb.
I only wish I’d thought of Costume Design as a vocation. I am obsessed with period clothing in particular, so this video is the Cat’s Meow !
