During the bedroom scene, I made some observations that I wanted to share. While Rachel is unzipping her dress, Finn just stares at her in a “Is this really happening?” and “your body is wonderland” kind of way. You see a “younger” Finn there with much less bravado than we saw during the flower scene and “We’ve Got Tonite”. And then — you see Rachel. She’s slipping off her dress, just kinda staring him down, keeping as calm and cool and collected as she can — giving off the vibe that she’s a modern New York woman now, and this is just a one-night stand of meaningless sex. But she can’t do it. She breaks character. She gives him a loving smile instead. And then she’s smiling and waiting, and he’s hurrying up with his clothes and grinning. And it’s not just lust for them. Or meaningless sex. They’re gonna enjoy and love each other, damn it. I loved it.
