Ned The Piemaker!

Kiki, I love you. ♥ ♥ ♥ (And I’m sorry this took a while.)

1.) Why I like him:

I love Ned because he’s so painfully awkward and socially inept. He has a habit of babbling and spouting random things when he’s nervous, which I find adorable. But he’s hardworking and kind, and even when he does things that make me want to shake him, he always tries to set things right.

2.) Why I don’t:

As much as I love Ned’s socially awkwardness, it frustrates me more often than not because if he just communicated with people better he wouldn’t end up in the messes he finds himself in. He can be selfish sometimes and is a huge kind of a pushover. He also runs away from his problems and would rather prefer living in his little bubble of denial than being honest with the people he cares about. (Let’s not forget how completely insensitive he was of Olive’s feelings, because really Ned.)

3.) Favourite episode/scene:

Everything…? Mostly his scenes with Emerson, because whenever he’s being stupidly in love or stupidly conflicted or stupidly anything, Emerson will say something snarky and sarcastic and it makes me laugh out loud.

4.) Favorite season:

The first season. I think season two was good too but it got messy really fast and it kind of took away from what I loved about the series. Both seasons are really good though. I JUST LOVE THIS SHOW AND ITS ECCENTRICITIES.

5.) Favorite line:

6.) OTP:

Chuck/Ned. They’re so precious and adorable and quirky and fun. They clash a lot and Ned tends to react badly when he feels like he doesn’t have her full attention or if he feels threatened by another man, but I think they bring out the best in each other.

7.) Favourite platonic relationship:

Olive and Ned. Emerson and Ned. But I think a really great but underrated friendship Ned has is with Randy Mann, the taxidermist. They’re so much alike and he’s the one who made Ned realize that he has to accept himself before he can be accepted by others.

8.) Head canon:

I don’t really have a head canon, but I wish the writers could have elaborated on Ned’s father and why he left. There was a lot of potential there that they never used.

9.) Unpopular opinion:

Sorry. I don’t know what the popular opinions of Ned are, so I don’t know if my opinions are unpopular. I just love him but also wish he’d grow up and stop running away from his past.
