You know that moment when you just have this irresistible urge to play a game you haven’t even thought of in like seven years? Need to go find me a Warlocked rom.

I don’t even remember the plot, I just remember I always played the orcs (rather than the lame humans) and the gimmick was collecting different mages who each had their own quirky special ability. My favorites were Poxwiz and Pigwiz. Poxwiz gave the humans a disease that made them explode into pox-filled gore which would then infect other humans. Pigwiz turned people into pigs. And his name was Pigwiz, which you’ve got to appreciate.

Yup, need me a rom.

Been playing Warlocked

As far as I know this game is THE first attempt to make a Real time Strategy game on a handheld.
Many PC gamers will tell you that RTS games just don’t work on consoles. For the most part they would be correct.
Id think even less of them would say an RTS would work on a handheld… and they would die of laughter if you mentioned the Gameboy Color!

Well this was THAT game, that tried on the Gameboy color, and honestly…
It succeeded!
It’s sales were not great, but for the most part, the game works great on the Gameboy. The pacing was slown down, the elements are much lighter then PC counterparts. Levels don’t take 1 hour, most Ive played take < 15 min.

It’s a shame marketing wanted the sequel “Wizards” to be reworked as Harry Potter, it caused the game to be canceled. Ah well Pocket RTS maybe one day will be given another chance.
