- It’s also known as the “Copyright Alert Machine” or the “Six Strikes Policy.”
- It was masterminded by a firm of goodie-two-shoes stalkers called Mark Monitor, which monitors the IP traffic of torrent and social media sites to catch “transgressions.” They spot up to thirty million “infringements” a day.
- This congregation of privacy infringing creepers will basically generate a shit list of all the IP addresses that they’ve spied on and found a problem with.
- This list goes out to ISP companies, which will take “diciplinary action” against you. This comes in the form of harassing letters and choked internet speed for up to three days.
- Let me say that again: your internet speed can be severely choked for up to three days per “transgression”
“Twerking Christ in a tarp!” you may or may not say, “How can I stop this madness?”
All you need to do is make a whitehouse.gov account, and you can sign petitions like this one to help affect the future of the United States. It takes maybe, maybe five minutes to sign up. If you like not being charged with a crime because of your gif folder, you need to sign this.
Those of you that are not American, spread this around anyways. Urge your American followers to sign up.

Get Tested Or Get Out: School Forces Pregnancy Tests on Girls, Kicks out Students Who Refuse or are Pregnant

In a Louisiana public school, female students who are suspected of being pregnant are told that they must take a pregnancy test. Under school policy, those who are pregnant or refuse to take the test are kicked out and forced to undergo home schooling.
Welcome to Delhi Charter School, in Delhi, Louisiana, a school of 600 students that does not believe its female students have a right to education free from discrimination. According to its Student Pregnancy Policy, the school has a right to not only force testing upon girls, but to send them to a physician of the school administration’s choice. A positive test result, or failure to take the test at all, means administrators can forbid a girl from taking classes and force her to pursue a course of home study if she wishes to continue her education with the school.
This is in blatant violation of federal law and the U.S. Constitution.
Today, the ACLU of Louisiana and the ACLU Women’s Rights Project asked Delhi Charter School to immediately suspend this discriminatory and illegal policy.
The policy’s complete disregard for Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, the federal law that prohibits sex discrimination in federally funded education programs and activities, is astonishing. Title IX and its regulations explicitly mandate that schools cannot exclude any student from an education program or activity, “including any class or extracurricular activity, on the basis of such student’s pregnancy, childbirth, false pregnancy, termination of pregnancy or recovery therefrom.”
Besides violating Title IX, the policy is also in violation of the Constitution’s due process right to procreate, and equal protection: it treats female students differently from male students and relies on archaic stereotypes linked to sex and pregnancy.
Approximately 70 percent of teen girls who give birth leave school, due in part to illegal discrimination. Schools should be supporting pregnant and parenting teens that face numerous barriers to completing their education, not illegally excluding them from school. The ACLU’s Women’s Rights Project protects the rights of pregnant and parenting teens through advocacy, education, and litigation, working to combat the push-out of pregnant and parenting teens from school.

I was taught on very important thing about politics and the government, once government turns to even just ONE of the methods of dictatorship, it has a tendency to turn into just that; a dictatorship.
This isn’t about whether tumblr, or any of our other favorite sites will be shut down, that’s not why you should oppose this bill. You should oppose it because it is a violation of your rights a citizen of the USA. Now I’m just a Canadian citizen, but that doesn’t mean I don’t know right from wrong when it comes to American politics.
Help, I've been robbed.
I’ve been robbed of my right to education due to my teachers beliefs. It all started at the beginning of a certain chapter of our Biology I book, that certain chapter was evolution. Being a public school, I know the access to education isn’t first class, but I never expected this. Before starting this chapter she showed us a video on the subject. The video in name was extremely biased towards a Creationist viewpoint, pointing out the “blasphemies” of Charles Darwin and so on. My friend and I, being both non religious, were appalled that this was acceptable to be shown in a school setting. Upon further reading, I learned that the theory of evolution is a controversial subject in my area of Louisiana, more so than others. Days after the video was shown, our teacher sat the class down and started a discussion. She exclaimed how evolution is a controversial theory that no one is certain of, that’s exactly how she stated it. After making sure she verified with us that it is indeed just a theory, she began to talk about Creationism, and how that is also a theory. She then explained how both sides have some merit, one side more than the other. My friend and I knew where this discussion was going. At the end of her biased dogma on Creationism vs. Evolution, she asked our opinion. One by one, few of my classmates shared their views, one even stated how “The Devil manipulated Charles Darwin into creating evolution just to corrupt the earth and tempt man into denying god.” My teacher had no back talk to that. When I had enough of hearing just one side, I raised my hand to share my view. I said “being a non religious person myself, I believe in evolution, and all the implications of it.” She then began to question me, in front of my classmates, “I don’t understand, ‘non religious,’ do you celebrate holidays? Does your family know your views? Does it cause disappointment to your mom and mama?” and so forth. I was shocked, I answered her questions and stayed silent for the rest of class. I was unnerved and jittery at what had just happened. That night I told my mom all about it, she asked me if I wanted to anything and I said I would think of it. Today, a few days after the incident, I learned that my teacher told her non-AP class that she refuses to teach them evolution and that they would just get an open book test on it. As for my class, the AP class, she is assigning us worksheets and drearily reading from the text book, changing words like “fact” and “evidence” to “thought” and “believe.” I personally feel like my school and my state has violated my right to a scientific education free of bias. My teacher is denying us of an education due to her personal beliefs and issues, and nobody is going to tell her, or the school system anything about it. I am clueless as what to do. I never thought I would face a situation where my rights were personally and deliberately violated because of someone else’s beliefs, but I guess I was mistaken, this is only the beginning of violation for someone of this day and age.
Tyranny In The White House?
During these past few months of 2012 there has been many issues involving newly installed government rules that conflict with the rights of Americans. On New Years Eve President Obama secretly signed and passed the National Defense Authorization Act while the American people were out getting drunk to celebrate the new year. The NDAA states that American citizens who are labeled as terrorists can be detained, interrogated, and tortured in newly constructed FEMA camps paid for with our tax dollars. If you have read any of the FBI’s guidelines, you would know that it does not take much to be identified as a terrorist. You can be labeled as a terrorist by paying for an enormous amount with cash, mumbling to yourself, if you are overdressed for the weather, criticizing the decisions of the government, and protesting against government decision. Which brings me to my next issue, the anti-protest bill which was also signed by President Obama which makes protesting a felony violating our rights of freedom of speech. On March 16, 2012 Obama also passed the NDAA Natural Resources Preparedness Act which states that the President can seize all natural produces in case of a state issue. This includes wars and natural disasters and if you pay attention to the news, you would know that the US & Israel are planning to go back to war with Iran as well as wage wars in countries such as Africa, Asia, and Japan. Do you really think Joseph Kony is still in Uganda making kids kill their parents? Kony hasn’t been seen in 6 years and this Invisible Children propaganda is a heaux so America can seize the golds and oil that sits under the land of Uganda. Did I mention that Joseph Kony was trained by the CIA? Did I also mention that our government spent $84 billion on ammunition alone this year? For what? My goal is not to scare you but it is to INFORM the unknowing. PLEASE do not shy away from this information, research it for yourself none of this information is my expressed opinion these are hard stated facts. Read and become aware let someone else know what is going on before it is too late for us to have a voice!
