#VivaYahoo!

Why I Chose A Career In Video Editing?
Four words LARA CROFT TOMB RAIDER. About halfway through my senior year in high school I became interested in AMV’s *Animated Music Videos* on youtube and I wanted to try making some of my own. So who better to start with than my favorite thing in the world TOMB RAIDER! On November 20th 2010 I published my first Tomb Raider AMV on youtube called “Lara Croft Tomb Raider Underworld Tribute *IN THE END*” I was so happy with how I did *even though now I look back and it’s complete shit LOL* anyway I wanted to make more Tomb Raider related AMV’s. Slowly as my senior year drove to a close I made A LOT more tomb raider AMV’s and I noticed I started to get better and better with practice. After I graduated high school I wanted to make a trailer for the new Tomb Raider game. July 26 2011 is when I made my first Tomb Raider trailer :D I hate watching it now because I did terrible, but at the time I was generally happy with what I had constructed! It didn’t take me long to realize this is what I wanted to do with my life, so I enrolled in a film and television course at West LA College. And since then everything has been going great! I’ve learned so much at my time there and my work has shown from it! The amazing thing is that my editing teacher chose me out of a class of about 15-20 people to come work with him at a studio in Century City! It’s so fun and the people are so laid back and make you feel so comfortable. I’ve met John Voight and even bumped into Stan Lee in an elevator. So yeah that’s why I started a career as a video editor all because of a fictional character, Lara Croft. Honestly if this character never existed I don’t know where I’d be career wise, would I still want to be a film editor? Who knows, but Thanks to Lara Croft and Tomb Raider I’ve finally set out to make my mark ;)
