Olds on the bus, recognizing your fandom
This morning I woke up really early and had a weirdly surreal text conversation with the twin about where Pokémon mystery dungeon put save files (DLC on the system, game data on the card, like I told her) which resulted in us agreeing to meet up at the hipster and depressing Starbucks by Powell’s for her to try her theory out on my 3DS before I met up with Tay later on.
I guess I got the right bus for all the kids going to the alternative school on Burnside because there was a Homestuck standing near me. Twitter (well okay I was like VIKKI PLEASE PLAY NAME THE HOMESTUCK FOR YOUR LOSER NEESAN but details) tells me it was John and he should put the bunny back, but I didn’t like to ask the Homestuck because

wh-what do you like to RP? like, characters/pairings/plots/etc?
Hrm. I tend to play Karkat, Dave, Bro!Dirk and Eridan, and occasionally Kanaya. I pair just about anyone as long as there’s chemistry (Minus Vriska and Caliborn, since they both tend to upset me unless they’re way ooc)
Plot wise, I like antagonism and wariness to coming to an understanding, power differentials that slowly even out, breaking someone and putting the pieces back together, and all hell breaks loose plots.
In the last bit I’ve played:
A DemonSummoner AU (based from Asukaskerian’s fic) Where Dirk binds Karkat half by accident and has to deal with settling a Demon Incarnate in his life and work as a summoner for the local police, which ends in Dirk in Hell after sacrificing himself to close the local Hellmouth Dirk/Karkat
A Tortallish Medieval AU where Dirk is a Knight and KK and Dave are Squires to a kingdom. Where Karkat is a mutant troll who can pass as human and has been working hard to become a knight despite the fact he’s from a hated enemy race, and Dirk becomes his training master and later discovers his secret. Dave/Karkat Dirk/KArkat
An Alternian world where the Signless succeeded and came to power with the Dolorosa, where after a few decades they realized that the Laws regarding mutations were for genetic reasons, as the Mother Grubs are unable to produce viable offspring when high mutations are in the slurry ( the revolution killed all the Drones). A thousand years later the Jadebloods rule a hemospectrum that peaks like a pyramid with them at the top and the world is split into the normal trolls and those who are culled- not killed but taken to work with and for the mothers and are not allowed to be contributers to mothers. Karkat gets ‘found’ as a mutant and has to adjust to living with the Jades underground. Kanaya/Karkat Karkat/Sollux
A Supernatural Demon Hunting universe where Sollux is a grumpy hunter looking to Avenge Aradian’s Death, Karkat’s the grubby street kid he picked up after watching him kill a ghoul with a fucking SILVER PLATED STEAK KNIFE NO (me might just be one quarter demonic and one quarter angelic and one half human…) and Eridan is one half Mermaid/Siren and Dualscar is one scary Mofo.

So yeah. I play a LOT of AU’s simply because the canon changes so constantly and having something more stable to work with is a bit more fun for me and my partner, but we’ve done a lot of Post-Sburb worlds as well. (Lots of Captain Ampora and Revolutionary Karkat)
Oh. And I don’t rp sex, for the most part. I get so bored of smut scenes that it is a fade to black get back to the plot and character building stuff 90% of the time. XD
