http://soundcloud.com/dmguillotineThis one’s for the Homestuck fans! I made this piano rendition of “Upward Movement” for a friend before knowing very much about Homestuck at all. Now I’m getting into the mix of it, and loving it so far.
The original song was very upbeat, with powerful chords and a driving drumline. I took the melodic, harmonic, and motivic material from that song (look for “Upward Movement - Dave Owns”to hear the original) and created this piano version, taking liberties with whatever I took from the song to put a personal twist on it.
