You know it just occurred to me. Back in november, when Darcy first found the videos, he would have gone for the first one. Therefore, the first thing he would have heard would have been “it is a truth universally acknowledged that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife”. I can imagine him pausing after that first sentence. There he was, a rich, single man, who was very much in want of a wife. And there was the woman he wanted, holding up a bright pink t-shirt with a sarcastic expression, showing how she thought it was so ridiculous, that it could never be true. She was predisposed against their relationship even before the most awkward dance ever. And Darcy reluctantly hit play again, probably wondering what he was in store for if the first freaking sentence already said so much about how he was the last man in the world who Lizzie Bennet could ever love. Or so they thought.
