Seriously guys unfollowing a blog for personal posts is like walking into a stranger’s house and being mad that all the pictures are of them

A little update on the "unfollower glitch".

Tumblr has only been unfollowing all deactivated blogs! You are not spontaneously unfollowing random blogs - if your numbers are decreasing, it is because Tumblr has finally decided to remove all deactivated blogs from our following lists. Nothing to freak out about.

can I just say you shouldn’t have to apologize for unfollowing someone? like you can have whatever the hell you want on your dash? just because you unfollow someone doesn’t mean it’s a personal attack on them?

o well, time to preen my dash a little bit more

I just unfollowed about 40 blogs, bringing my following count down below 500, which is manageable for me.  If I unfollowed you and it hurt your feelings, let me know and I will fix it.  

whats the point of following then unfollowing right after they follow you back, its like a guy sticking his penis in your vagina and then taking it out and walking off saying fuck you.

Where is the Love man

That was somewhere between cathartic and healing. I spent the last half hour checking people who weren’t following me back and purging almost 400 non followers.  Quite a long strange bittersweet trip down memory lane, though I couldn’t even remember about 99% of them. Gone.  :)   A few friends secondary blogs and reblog groups (you’re safe).  Several that I was never fond of anyway, outta here.  I’m human, and 3 or 4 unpleasant surprises.  I couldn’t pull the trigger on them, sentimental old fool that I am.   Anyway, it’s good for the insecurity/ego not to have 400 more followees than followers.  On to brighter things, I have the day off and several wonderful reblogs to share shortly.
