Hi guys! So my sister, is the president of UCR’s Cosplay Brigade and she’s trying to raise money for an event at her school called Geek Week, which is basically a promotion of geek culture. I know there are a lot of geeks (be proud of that people!) that belong to different fandoms, so I’m pretty sure you’ll understand how important this is to UCR’s Geek Week Committee and to my sister.

The guests for Geek Week include Dr. Andrea Letamendi and Dante Basco. Many of you know Dante Basco as Rufio from Hook, Jake Long from Jake Long: American Dragon, and Prince Zuko from Avatar. He will be hosting a panel on how he made it into the film industry. Dr. Letamendi will be presenting her research in preparation for San Diego’s Comic Con 2013. 

As you can see from those two guests, UCR’s Geek Week is a pretty interesting event. However, the Committee is unable to cover the total fund of $600 for the honorarium!

So, I’m just asking you fellow fandom geeks on Tumblr a small favor to help my sister out! Just a small donation to help this event happen.
