I hope you saw Abby’s post match interview. It was perfect. She was graceful, and admitted our flaws, which was our loss of focus in front of the goal too many times, if even for a few seconds. She talked about how much this is going to hurt for now. But then she set the next goal for this team, of making the Olympics in January, and then winning the gold next year in London. The goal now is London. And beyond that, she is 31 years old. If she can follow in the footsteps of Christine Rampone, she can make it back for the 2015 World Cup in Canada. So can Hope Solo. So can so many of these players. And Abby Wambach can lead this team to the biggest world stage one more time. And lead it to the top. The United States will be back.
