tunes for change is an australian not for profit organisation which combines passion for art, music and our australian music scene with unbelievable passion and enthusiasm for humanity, peace and those in need.
tunes released their very first album in march 2011. it features sixteen tracks by sixteen generous artists, all donated to the organisation for a three month lease, while the album is available. and one hundred percent of profits made go to the red cross victorian flood relief appeal and the queensland premier’s disaster relief fund.
an amazing album, including the likes of gotye, john butler trio, missy higgins and passenger…but you best hurry to help as it’s only available until the 28th of this month!
and make sure you keep your eyes peeled and ears ready for album number two in the coming months. the chosen charity for these donations will this time be the the seed fund - a sydney based organisation founded in 2005 by john butler and danielle caruana. the not for profit provides grants and advise to australian musicians and bands, artists and managers.
