Hello.

I am considering following you.

Please fill out this 12-page questionnaire about your blog, your ships, and your tagging system.

an opinion I happen to have and several friends happen to have too

pls reblog and add your comments right to the reblog. I LOVE to read your thoughts! I look at every single reblog to see if you left a comment in your tags but some of your themes are difficult to figure out and/or hide tags all together, this makes it far less fun and rewarding for me as a content creator.

you don’t have to! but it sure makes my day to see your comments right out there on my dash. just sayin’

[edit] I’m not mad or upset or anything, sorry!! I still appreciate every reblog/like whether it has comments attached or not! but I’ve just been seeing a thing going around that it’s “rude” to add comments to the reblog but “ok” to do so in tags, and, well, I disagree with that. I think comments are meaningful no matter where they are, BUT they’re much much easier for me to see in the reblog instead of tags. and I have to admit to being slightly frustrated with recent themes that make tags very difficult to find haha

here's some cool stuff you can do with tumblr that you probably didn't know about

while the staff members might come off as asshats they really do work hard

  • go to tumblr.com/photos for a really cool photo-viewing experience
  • press option + tab if on Mac, or z + tab if on pc, and you’ll get options to switch to your other blogs
  • dial 1-866-584-6757 and leave a message and it’ll audio post to your blog
  • if you hover for a few seconds over that little fold at the top right of a post on your dashboard, it’ll tell you what time it was posted.
  • when you’re about to publish an ask, if you hold down alt, you’ll also have options to save it as a draft or queue it
  • when you’re in your queue, you know that little up-down arrow to the right of the edit icons on each post? if you hold down alt, it’ll change to an up arrow and you can move it to the top of your queue.
  • when you’re in your dashboard, press j to move up a post, k to move back a post, l to like a post, and n to see the notes
  • if you used j or k to get to a photoset/video in your dashboard, pressing the spacebar lets you open up the photos in the photoset/play the video
  • if you used j or k to get to a post on your dashboard, press option + r to quickly reblog

Tumblr is not Twitter. Don’t burp here when you’ve just eaten. Don’t yawn here when you’ve just got out of bed. And please, don’t tell us you’ve just breathed. People here are different from the users of other social networks. This is a blogging platform. Let’s use Tumblr the way it should be used. Blog with all your senses.

25 dollars times the number of posts you have = how much money you'd get for your tumblr.

I’d have $12,250.00

damn.

50 dollars for every follower you have = how much money you make from the people that follow you.

I’d have $5000

Damn!

I wish i could get paid for tumblring!

No srsly guys go download xkit for tumblr

xkit-extension.tumblr.com

It’s easy to adapt to. You can enable/disable features of XKit. It fixes replies and allows wrapped tags. You can block content. You can reblog and add tags to posts without leaving your dashboard. It gives you the classic tracked tags layout. It allows you to access and reply to mail without leaving your dashboard. And there’s so much more. It basically comes with a bunch of extensions that are useful and you can choose which ones are best for you and turn off those you don’t care for. I’m not sure how Xkit is working with the forced beta-testing of tumblr’s new possible layout but from what I’ve heard it’s still working.
