Remember when everyone was going crazy because they could find the main characters' names in between the Tsurezure Monochrome chorus?
Yeah I remember going crazy when I was listening to the song and realised that too.
Thing is, has anyone ever tried going beyond that?
I mean, sort of looking for a meaning in the fact the names are there?
I actually thought I’d posted this ages ago, but apparently I never did. So here’s a sort of rambling on this moment of analysis - not sure if I can call it that?? - that I had ages ago in my head but never threw out there. Don’t think this is gonna be long, it’s just me putting up some food for thought maybe? Okay it may be long, it depends on your standards.

So after this post I thought I might as well have a go at this.
Please note: As I point out in some of my translations, I can’t say this is 100% ‘faithful’ to the original due to English and Japanese being such contrasting languages, and it’s particularly harder when working on music lyrics/poetry, so bear that in mind (not to mention the so-called ‘editing decisions’ I keep bringing up ohonhonhohnohn).
I say ‘please note’ but to be honest you could very well just take this as you take any other translation from Japanese, it’s just the official translators never bring that up, but because this is something for the fandom I feel I should still point it out.
tl;dr— I just mean there could be room for discussion.
So here goes nothing then.
