How to look things up quickly in your archive - using tags to search your blog

If you want to find something quickly in your archives tag it with something you’ll remember. I use lots of tags so I can look up things really quickly. I’ve tagged the Pearl Chain Maille Necklace I just posted with “chain maille” and “pearls” so I can quickly look it up by typing http://truebluemeandyou.tumblr.com/tagged/pearls. This is how I use my blog as a huge but better Pinterest Board.

Hey! You might already know about it, but just thought I'd tell you about the google photo search. You can either upload a picture straight from your computer, or paste a link into the search bar and it'll grab that picture and search the web for ones like it. It's really good for finding the source/crediting stuff from pinterest (Also- thank you for always crediting everything! I think it's awesome and appreciate it)

Hi, Thank you so much for your message. I LOVE Google Search By Image and would be totally lost without it (I use the extension where all I have to do is right click on an image to take me to the Google search by image page). For others, here is the link again how you can search and see where your images (photos of you, your avatar) are ending up: google.com/insidesearch/features/images/searchbyimage.html For the Chrome Extension go here: chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/search-by-image-by-google/

To announce that I will not read your blog. I despise you. You are a parasite on other bloggers. Took away their glory. It has long wanted to tell you this. And now I saw that even the discussion of master-classes do not find themselves on a Russian website. I checked - you are stealing jobs with delay. Shame on you! I hope someday you will learn how to make their work. I will pray for you.

And this is the “nicer” of the 2 messages from meganzome… seriously. But really, thank you for praying for me - that can never hurt. It’s really curious that I find things on this Russian site you are mentioning about a day after I post them…. hmmmmmmmm…. interesting coincidence.

I’m sorry you despise me and won’t be reading my blog anymore :_(  As usual I find my messages always interesting and endlessly entertaining. Thank you for making me laugh so hard tonight - I love the comic relief :)

superslyskillzmcfly said: I am so confused. Master classes? What?!

truebluemeandyou: It sounds like I’m part of plot of some kind in Russia? And am stealing jobs? Also confused and amused :)

EDIT: I have some of the most creative readers out there. Thank you for the parodies of this message - your messages were much better than this one :) Especially about my cat avatar.

What to DIY for Men - from my other blog. Lots and lots of links and suggestions

rainbowelbows asked: Any gift ideas for Grandpas? I’m 16, so I can’t do a footprint casting or artwork on a mug and still have it be cute… Functional or food probably, not like the manly jewelry you have posted. Thanks!

Totally get it. Did you go through the “manly gift” tag? It’s not all bracelets and manly jewelry on my “manly gifts” tag here - and not a handprint/footprint in sight!:truebluemeandyou.tumblr.com/tagged/manly-gifts

For example, on that tag you will find:

  • rosemary shaving cream (if he doesn’t use an electric razor)
  • cool cheap smart phone gloves
  • suede fleece blanket
  • DIY 101 Handmade Gifts For Men by Everything Etsy (inlcuding food and condiments)
  • easiest cufflinks ever (if he ever wears French cuff shirts)
  • Altoids Tin Survival Kit (with many variations)

Go to my text post here with hundreds of links and suggestions on other blogs: truebluemeandyou.tumblr.com/post/23137116312/i-want-to-make-something-sweet-for-my-hubby-his

*I can’t stress enough the gifts I remember my father (and mother) loving the most: I listed the things I loved about them - from funny (you whistle when you listen to music), to small (you cut my pizza with scissors when I was little), to the huge moments. This meant more to them than any bought or handmade present and was read aloud and cherished :)

You could do this with a great font and on parchment paper (available at Staples), roll it up like a scroll and tie it with a pretty ribbon, or do it with a deck of cards like this post here: truebluemeandyou.tumblr.com/post/17655680302/diy-updated-52-reasons-i-like-you-tutorial

Hope this helps!
