Rob Does Personal Training
I really was going to keep this a secret. But, I can’t so I shall tell you all.
I work for a company that barters with other different companies. We had a call out to a gentleman that owned a personal training studio. As I had him on the phone, I inquired about what he did and such.
I let it sink in. I just called him back and scheduled my first appointment. It is a free trial to see if I like it. I love places that do that because it makes me trust that they believe in what they do. It’s High Intensity Training. He goes over nutrition. I think this could be the start of a beautiful relationship.

I’m feeling pretty good about this. I’m terrified of how the workout is going to go but I know that I need to do this. I know what the results are going to be. Therefore, I need to do this. Without hesitation, I will.
Maybe I’ll become as badass as some of you guys! :) ::cough cough tribander cough cough brooksy cough cough a lot of other inspiring peeps cough cough::
To: All you Full Marathoners
I want to take this opportunity to thank all you marathoners for being such badasses. I mean, how many people can say they ran 26.2 miles? Hell, how many people can say that they’ve walked 26.2 miles?
You marathoners keep me going. Your posts on your training, the recaps, the pics — It all helps me.
Two years ago, I was severely obese and didn’t want to leave my bed. With the help of this community, I’ve completed 5K’s, 10K’s and a half marathon. Never in my wildest dreams would I have ever thought that racing [myself] would be such a drive in my life. I have you all to thank for that. You drive me to get to the point of completing a full. Don’t get me wrong, it terrifies me. But, you internets give me strength. You internets have done it. I can too.
To my friends that are completing the NYC Marathon tomorrow — Brenna and Michelle, may God be with you the whole race to keep you strong. May your legs take you farther than you could have dreamed of. Embrace the finish, Embrace the scenery, Embrace the people around you, Embrace the moment.
And again, much love and thanks. :)
phone interview was fantastic! great company with a ton of growth — and they want to meet in person next week.
Happy Half Birthday to me! (And Tribander too!)
Sound advice from Tribander
I edited that post because, while I’m not there yet, I liked the results I noticed in the mirror this morning.
Until next time.. being patient, growing a pair, and trusting the process.
AND KungFu steps up to the plate? Knocks it out of the park. You should really write self-help books, man.
