Fresh out the kitchen, we bring you the official video for Treetop Flyers’ “It’s About Time”. It documents their summer adventures on the road during which they played Glastonbury and won the Glastonbury Festival Emerging Talent Competition. Their harmonies, which hint at a Crosby, Stills and Nash influence on the band, carry throughout most of the track and the black and white footage really helps bring the viewer back to the good ol’ days.

Communion - The Flowerpot Sessions

Recorded live at the now-defunct Flowerpot in north London, this lukewarm grassroots hotpot aims to bottle a memory of lightning. Out of cheery-beery context, Crowns’ ‘Little Eyes’ is a trite finale which buggers itself with tactless mid-song self-promotion.

In fairness it’s not all ham-fisted facepalm – though tearstained byTreetop Flyers’ earnest wail, ‘It’s About Time’ has an easy rocking-chair repose, and while the tired-eyed bromides of Lissie’s ‘Oh Mississippi’ are more ‘Little Bo Peep’ than ‘Rust Never Sleeps’, they at least warm the cockles. A fair harvest from a sporadically likeable tractor-folk collective, but when shit comes to shovel you probably had to be there.

Is It All Worth It?

Treetop Flyers

memories make the world go round
new friends made and new friends lost
but does this come at a cost
when you start to doubt the one you love?
