Trayvoning Groups On Facebook
We’ve all seen the disgusting pictures of people “Trayvoning” on tumblr, the people who say it’s just a joke and the countless others who think it isn’t funny at all.
Sadly, there is also Facebook where there are a few groups who call themselves “sports teams” “professional sport leagues” and “community groups”. There’s more images, people who “like” these groups and so much blatant racism in these groups that I have to ask that people please report them so they be shut down.

I get that you think you're just being "edgy"
But you’re not. You’re having a laugh about a teenager that’s been brutally murdered. And if it was a white teenager, you wouldn’t even think about making that joke.
Imagine your edgy new meme takes off, and captures the attention of the media, the way planking did - and don’t even try to pretend you haven’t considered that possibility. Just try to imagine how you’d feel if you saw a bunch of douchebags on the internet making light of the death of your son, your brother, even just your friend - less than 3 months after he died.
You don’t just have a bad sense of humour; you’re a racist fuck for considering the life of a POC worth less than any other human, and I hope you realise what a piece of shit you’re being for your 15 minutes of attention.
You know, as fucking furious as I am about this trayvoning shit, I can only imagine how it must feel for the people who are marginalized by shit like this. I can only imagine how it must feel for Trayvon’s parents, and I really hope they never have seen or never will see this shit.
This is why white people (like myself) need to check their shit, this is why white people need to start listening to PoC about their struggles and paying attention to what the fuck is going on. Until you do, as far as I’m concerned, you’re apart of the problem.
If you think this is excusable, funny, or even REMOTELY okay in any way, you are apart of the problem, and quite frankly, you’re fucking racist. Stay the fuck away from everybody. Just stay the fuck away, and get rid of your cameras.
