Anonymous: What does "trap" mean? sorry.

‘trap’ is a slur that cis people, specifically cis men, call trans women.  there’s this cultural myth that we transition to like, trick heterosexual cis men into fucking us.  so like, we ‘trap’ them or something.

its beyond ridiculous, because having sex with men is not something that is difficult to do.  seriously, it was easier to fuck men before i transitioned, lol.  although straight dudes do hit on me all the time now, and only occasionally did before.

the really ugly part of this term ‘trap’ is that it makes us trans women responsible for cis straight dudes’ attraction to us, and then we’re responsible for all their stupid feelings of fear and shit when they find out that they’re attracted to trans women.  by holding us responsible for their feelings, instead of themselves, they justify acting out violently against us.
