“Grand Central is one of my favorite places in the whole wide world! My boyfriend and I always take the train in from Union Station New Haven when we come into the City. No matter how many times we pass through Grand Central, we always take pictures in the Main Concourse. It never gets old for us. On one trip in February, he encouraged me to make silly faces just be silly in the Main Concourse, took some pictures, and then we rushed to the 6 train to get to Yankee Stadium for a tour. While on the subway, we were reviewing the pictures we had taken at Grand Central and were surprised that one of our pictures really came out magical! Not only did we get a great shot of me making funny faces in the concourse, but we also noticed that because of the lighting and the rushed way my boyfriend took the picture, he had created a really cool exposure with another person running to make his train. It really captured Grand Central in all its glory for us!”

“My first kiss with my wife was on the platform. We had our first date in a restaurant on 2nd Avenue. The Flower Drum which is no longer there. We decided to meet there a night before the actual first date because I thought it was important that we know whether we like each other. I walked her to her train to New Rochelle. Kissed her goodnight. Knew right away I was in love. 26 years and two kids later, I’m still commuting through GCT every day and loving it.”

I’m really excited for this somewhat-new and a-little-bit-improved blog. I started my old blog mostly on a whim. It was a fun way to share some snippets of writing and some about myself. Blogger was an easy platform, and it was a much more efficient way to share information that individually e-mailing each of my friends pictures of cute baby animals and obnoxious yet wildly amazing Internet videos (you’re welcome, by the way). And now, I’m not so much looking to change things, but just for this blog to be a grown up version of its previous self. It will still be a place for me to share great finds, but I’m planning to write a lot more, post photos, and hopefully keep you up to date on some fun to-come projects and more.
So, have a look around and let me know what you think. You’ll notice I didn’t bring over the old content, but I promise I’ll be making up for this in the weeks to come with even better things.
