paypal.comok hi everyone. So as of late, my dysphoria that i thought i was done with, is kind of peaking again and the more and more i think about it the more and more desperate I am for top surgery. Unfortunately, I am nowhere near the amount of funds I would need for top surgery and although I feel really anxious and awkward about this, I am asking for donations to help pay for it. if you can donate anything it would be really appreciated but if not, i understand. thank you so much.
Judge tells trans person’s neighbor to pay up for years of harassment and hate comments
lexiecannes.wordpress.comAmong other things, the trans person’s neighbor, Wilna van Staden, would call her neighbor “it”, routinely tell people of the trans person’s gender change, circulated a petition to get the trans person evicted, and invited visitors to watch her trans neighbor over the bordering fence.
After complaints to the housing management and the police failed to curtail the neighbor’s harassment, the trans person’s attorney took van Staden to court.
Earlier this year South African Magistrate M J Thobela ruled van Staden’s behavior amounted to unfair discrimination and hate speech. Thobela ordered van Staden to pay damage for moving expenses, for the pain, suffering and humiliation she endured as well as counseling expenses. Thobela cited the Promotion of Equality and Prevention of Unfair Discrimination Act of 2000 as the basis for the decision.
The trans person’s attorney Michal Johnson: “People have been allowed to say what they wanted to vulnerable groups of our society for far too long without suffering the consequences. The ruling sent out a clear message that the act afforded protection to victims of hate speech and that the courts would enforce their constitutional rights.”

UPDATE: Trans woman stabbed in D.C. dies. She was 22.
advocate.comThe transgender woman who was stabbed at a Washington, D.C., bus stop Thursday night has died, and activists have identified her as Deoni Jones, 22.
She was stabbed in the head about 8:15 p.m. at a bus stop at East Capitol Street N.E. and Sycamore Road and taken to a hospital in grave condition. She died early Friday morning, Metro Weekly reports.
The paper reports that Mara Keisling, executive director of the D.C.-based National Center for Transgender Equality, and Jason Terry of the D.C. Transgender Coalition both identified the victim as Jones.
Terry also denounced media coverage of the attack, as some outlets referred to the victim as a “man living as a woman.”
“We condemn in the strongest possible terms the transphobic language deployed by several media outlets last night and this morning,” Terry said. “While we certainly agree that the general public needs to be aware of trans communities’ losses and successes, it is imperative that members of the press refer to trans people in a way that respects each person’s gender identity or expression.”
Jones’s attacker fled the scene and has not yet been apprehended. The Metropolitan Police Department asks that people with information that may lead to an arrest call (202) 727-9099 or send it in anonymously by texting 50411. The department offers a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to arrest and conviction in homicide cases.

myhusbandbetty.comA trans woman is insisting a Tennessee DMV can’t have it both ways: either they decide she’s a man and she should be legally allowed to go topless, or she is a woman & then they need to change her gender marker on her license to an F.
So she took her shirt off outside the DMV, and they promptly arrested her. I’m sure they still didn’t change her gender marker, however.
These ‘gender determined by genitals’ laws have got to go.
