“So my question is, what do you think of Destiel?”
The same question he gets asked a million times over. And he defaults to his usual, which is joking about it. And he mentions the line that was cut, even though the context of the line mentioned family and “like you’re a brother,” and he gives them a little bit of hell about how convention audiences have changed, but they’re not the ones who have changed.
Nope. He’s the one who’s changed. He’s the one who’s gotta be twice as stand-offish and twice as careful as usual, because this time, he can’t tip his hand.
We’re going for this, guys. We want to go for it, but we need to make sure you’re good with it first.
“Nobody talks about it,” he says in response to the question, but when he says nobody he’s thinking about Jensen, who sighed a bit and said “I had a feeling that’s what you were gonna ask us about,” and “I gotta think about it” and sort of stalked off, leaving Misha alone in the office with Jeremy, who looked him square in the eye and said,
Misha, I know you’re good with this. Jensen’s gonna take some working on, but you know we’ve got to do this, right?
Here’s the thing… We gotta be doing this for the right reasons. We gotta be doing this for…
…For Dean’s sake, for his character. I’m not buying into the cute-couple thing any more than you are. This is about giving Dean a reason to grow.
“Pervs,” Misha calls the audience, just to throw them off. Because from what Jeremy has mentioned, this is gonna be anything but pervy — a kiss, maybe. Waking up together. But mostly, it’s gonna be more of the same… the same slow burn that’s been happening for seasons now, just out in the open, reinforced with words.
So it’s all about Dean. What’s in it for me, huh?
Well, that’s the other thing I wanted to ask you about. You want to come on board full-time next season?
Wait. I’m being upped to love-interest status?
You got a problem with it?
Not personally. You know I gotta send you to my agent about the terms, though.
I can hardly wait.
Jensen’s come around by now, Misha’s sure. They haven’t talked about it, and he has a feeling they might not — not until they have to. But the regular upgrade came through, which can only mean one thing. Misha can read the signs.
“Feel free to slip in more of that sort of thing,” the fan says.
And because that’s totally not the way it’s going, and because Misha’s all about misdirection, he dashes off, “Just the tip.”
The audience goes wild. They still have no idea. Misdirection accomplished, for now.
I'm reading too much in to this I know I am
But…something has been really bugging me about the Avengers movie. After seeing it six times now I’m starting to notice little things that bug me. For example, forehead rubbing and moments of strangeness.
Most of the characters seems to have a moment of “woah” in the movie, stay with me for a moment. Loki walks past Banner in the lab when he’s brought in, Banner pauses and starts rubbing his forehead, Tony does the same thing when everyone is in the lab fighting just before the shot of Loki’s staff, Steve does the same thing at one point, along with the same scene Thor’s line “you people are so petty and tiny” where he’s laughing. All of these shots seem just a little out of place if anyone catches my drift, as if there just isn’t something right for a moment with each character. Coupled together with the fact at the end of the movie Loki seemed to give up far too easy, I’m pretty sure that Loki has been playing everyone all together, that this “loss” wasn’t a loss for him and he has in fact put everyone exactly where he wants them. I don’t know the line “If its okay with you I think I’ll have that drink now” just seems far too relaxed, Loki looks almost content in that shot.
I think he’s been playing everyone the entire movie.
Totally tinhatting about that clip too I mean what!!!! All his friends were over at his place and he talked about how they stayed late and everything cause the show wouldn't end... And then after that he stayed over somewhere else cough my friend cough I wonder who
I’m freaking out! I mean, it’s kind of obvious that he left for sex since Aimee is staying with him and he’s only got the one bed so not really conducive for a thriving sex life unless he constantly sexiles Aimee to the couch.
And since they stayed late it would make sense for it to be someone he was already with and I really doubt he’s sleeping with Pixie and her boyfriend or Gillian so Harry is kind of the default or Nick wanted them all out so he could leave on booty call for one of his other young stupid models but let’s pretend no.
Ok, let's be honest. What do you think is going on with Logan and Alex? I mean we have the New Years pic, but then all these other photos pop up from shooting and his birthday and stuff, and I'm like what the heck? Because I'm still positive they were dating before, and they seem awfully close (always sitting next to each other) in the new photos for a couple who broke up. But I figured you'd have an opinion. :)
I think they’re still dating, to be honest, or maybe had a off period and got back together? The popular tumblerfen theory about Logan’s NYE kiss picture with that girl is that they were drunk and it was for fun/a joke, which I’m inclined to believe since we haven’t seen her in any pictures with Logan since then… or any before then either! New pictures of him and Alex seem to crop up every month or so, and there’s a shit ton of pictures with her and his siblings (like this most recent batch)… it all just screams, “YOU’RE DATING,” to me.
All I want is for their relationship to be confirmed during the SoM press tour. JUST GIVE IT TO ME, PLEASE, CELEBRITY PRESS MACHINE.

Thanks! I’ve been in fandom for awhile for many fictional ships and one other RP ship so I’m very aware of the line that exists between fun tinhatty-ness and the problem of trying to force your image of someone onto them (see: (500) Days of Summer) - and a lot of the 1D fandom crosses that line so I always feel like I have to clarify when I am tinhatting and remain pretty realistic when I do tinhat.
My favorite head canon is sub!Harry - I find D/S dynamics really interesting and Harry and Nick are perfect for that kind of fic (PLAYFIGHTING!) so I wish there was more! And my timeline head canon is that they’ve been friends with benefits for awhile but then during their week long date it kind of turned into a “are we dating?” sort of thing but they’re both terrified of commitment so they haven’t exactly had “the talk” yet but all of Grimmy’s friends tease them constantly.
Random favorite moments: The pie dinner - “just let me take you out”, Harry driving Nick to work a bunch this summer - “I’m here like everyday”, Gemma and Anne tweeting Nick all the time, and Liam and Nick talking about Harry sending Nick pictures of him on set.
EDIT: Oh, and them playing footsies at the movies that time Harry went to see half of Perks during his break from 1D rehearsals just to see Nick. (tinhatty swoons).

I recently got into the one direction/larry stylinson fandom. And let me just say, in terms of RPF, I’ve never put on the lovely tinhat that means I truly believe people are hiding relationships. Until now. There is an absolutely beautiful analysis of Louis and Harry’s relationship that take hours to get through, but it is so worth it. And, being completely honest right now, I’ve been convinced. I’m joining tinhatters proudly because I believe we’ll one day be proven right. And it will be beautiful.
That being said, I’m pretty sure Harry’s 17BLACK tattoo has nothing to do with Louis. My friend explained to me that it the number James Bond always chooses for roulette or something, and I read the tattoo might relate to his childhood? So Bond would make sense.
HOWEVER, it is totally possible Louis’s number was influenced by Harry’s tattoo.
I’d also like to praise the larry stylinson fandom to be the craziest and most dedicated fandom I’ve ever seen. And trust me, I have seen a lot. I’d love to be a part of it, if you all will let me, even though I tend to lean toward analysis and realism. But who knows, I might get into writing again :D
I first heard the term referring to people who thought Dominic Monaghan and Elijah Wood were totes in love during LOTR filming.
I think I heard it a few times, too.. I was totally out of Lotrips, though, aside from betaing some fic for a few friends I had from the Hanson fandom. (Most of them were into Orlijah.)
A short history of early K/S, or how the first slash fandom came to be.

It’s funny how all the pieces fall together now that I’m a seasoned slasher of this pair. I found this link again because it was linked by a fanlore post. The retrieval date is suspiciously close to the time when I likely first read it.
This is not meta or analysis…although there are some tongue in cheek observations with regards to the pervasiveness of “the premise,” something that continues to captivate me today. (It takes on an almost Jungian sort of stance: This ship is embedded within the collective unconscious.) Keep in mind that the author of this short history is also a prominent member in the fandom—the first stories I ever really loved in this ship and the ones I’ve loved with the most endurance always come back to her. And they’re by no means gen fic.
So much about this little piece has stuck with me. I was absolutely shocked to find that published novels about this subject existed, and, gradually, that entire conventions were centered around it, that several decades had done nothing to dampen the collective fervor for this phenomenon.
But perhaps the thing that stuck with me most were these lines:

A quick googling has presented me with the information that yes, sporks have basically existed since the beginning of time the late 1800s, so when the creators of a certain very popular science-fiction series with a crazy fan following, they were probably aware of what they were naming their two main characters and just how well it lent itself to mashing up.
