Hatty Keane talks music future
Hatty Keane talks music future![]()
Hatty Keane is a young sixteen year old singer, who is very much making a move in the music world. Hatty has always been a big fan of music and has always wanted to become a singer, “I have always dreamed of pursuing it as a career but I’ve always been realistic about it as I know it’s a very hard industry, I decided I knew I could do it about two years ago when I started to do more performances,” she explained. The young and talented singer was kind enough to talk to us at FansShare about her life so far and what she has planned for the future.
FS: At what age did you get in to music?
HK: I have always loved music from a very early age; there are videos of me at about five singing and dancing for my family.
FS: Have you ever considered going down the road of reality TV shows such as The X Factor?
HK: It is very tempting as it is a very good platform, but I don’t like the way it launches you into fame, I’m in this for the music and I want to be me, artistic freedom can be taken away from you with the X Factor.
FS: You are only 16. Many teen acts have had limited success. What do you think makes you different to have the longevity to succeed?
HK: I am still developing as an artist and I won’t stop, I want to have a long career, I don’t see myself as a “teen artist” I see myself as a brand that will continue to grow!
FS: You performed at last year’s Open Mic UK competition and won the Under18 category. How did it feel performing against the other singers and how did it feel to win?
HK: It was extremely nerve wracking, but an amazing experience and I met so many lovely people and learned a lot about myself! Winning was such a shock, at the time I didn’t even know what was going on I just had this trophy in my hand! It took a few days to sink in and then I was just really proud of how far I’d come!
FS: You have already released your double A-side Best Kept Secret and Electricity. When will your next track be released?
HK: The next single is released on the 7th November; it’s going to be big! An E.P is also going to be released on the 7th, with a mixture of genres to show each side of me.
FS: What was it like supporting the likes of N-Dubz and Tinchy Stryder? Were they accommodating towards you?
HK: It was incredible! I felt so lucky, but I felt like I belonged and I knew that this was where I wanted to be, it was a very inspiring day and motivated me to keep working hard!
FS: You have signed a deal with BGM, which must be exciting?
HK: Very exciting! I am so lucky, I have an amazing team behind me and they have worked so hard over the past year in getting me to where I am now, and we won’t stop!
Hatty Keane is set to perform at Britain and Irelands Next Top Model in October at Excel, “I can’t wait especially after watching the series for so long! I am also doing a school tour at the moment I love it!” she explained. Hatty is also a very ambitious young lady, she added that she plans to “Keep working hard, it definitely pays off! Lots of gigs and recording, and years to come? Getting BIG, albums, tours!!” Remember the name, Hatty Keane as she is certainly a star of the future.
