PLEASE STOP SPREADING THESE PHOTOS AND CLAIMING IT IS CUTE. IT IS ANIMAL ABUSE. PLEASE SPREAD THE TRUTH.

Everybody has seen this photo right? With the story that a mother tiger lost her own cubs so “zoologists” from California wrapped up some piglets in cloth so she’d adopt them?
This tiger lives in an appallingly cruel zoo in Thailand, called Sriracha Tiger Zoo. When she was a cub, she was removed from her mother and given to a sow. The reason for this is not ill health - it was because the zoo wanted to cash in on the ‘cute species swap’ photo oppurtunities. The facility, more accurately described as part zoo and part circus, boasts offbeat attractions like basketball-playing elephants, “lady crocodile wrestlers,” and a petting zoo where customers can bottle-feed baby tigers with their own bare hands (the absolute worst sign of abuse in a facility). Visitors have reported seeing tigers, pigs, and dogs all housed together within the same enclosure.
Activists decided to investigate after seeing the piglets were wrapped in cute blankets - something which would not make a single bit of difference to the tiger. They are intelligent animals and a blanket does not make her magically believe that the piglets are really tiger cubs.
It is not even clear that she rejected or ‘lost’ her own litter of cubs….. and experts fear that they were forcibly removed and given to a sow or other species as part of this sick theme.
- THIS ZOO HAS BEEN CHARGED IN THE PAST FOR BREEDING TIGERS WITHOUT A LICENSE FOR EXPORT TO CHINA, SO THAT THEIR BODY PARTS CAN BE USED IN TRADITIONAL MEDICINES
- ON ANOTHER OCCASION, 23 TIGERS DIED FROM BIRD FLU AFTER BEING FED INFECTED CHICKEN CARCASSES
- THESE TIGERS ARE BEING BRED IN POOR, BARREN AND EXTREMELY BARBARIC CONDITIONS TO MAKE MONEY
Adam Roberts, an investigator with Animal Welfare International, the respected American pressure group which investigated the pictures, wrote in its quarterly magazine that the zoo - with more than 400 tigers, a handful of Asian elephants, of crocodiles, camels, snakes and other exotic animals - had many troubling exhibits.
It also houses a circus, he said, where he saw tigers leaping through rings of fire, walking across a double tightrope, parading around the ring on hind legs, and riding on the back of a horse.
“Up close, however, one could clearly see the animals’ debilitation and fear,” he added.
“All of the animals awaited their turn to perform in a gated tunnel, keepers constantly poking them with a steel pole through the iron mesh.”
Behind the scenes, bored elephants swayed at the end of 2ftlong chains anchored to the ground.
One had a long, deep scar across his ear - another was scarred across her trunk.
“After the show, the elephants stood in frot of the seats taking money from people with their trunks and passing it to the trainers astride their backs,” Mr Roberts reported.
PLEASE SPREAD AWARENESS. I KNOW MANY OF YOU ARE WELL-MEANING BUT THIS SORT OF PUBLICITY IS PUTTING THIS ANIMALS IN DANGER
