A Pearl of The Deep ( Pirate Hayner) || thenumberonestruggler
The sun had just begun to set below the deep sea as Ariel sat on the rocks of her favorite cove, as she always had done. She had always admired the sunset as she looked on toward the pale turquoise sea with a smile. The cove was made famous by pirates as a place where mermaids were to gather. Often hiding the various treasures and baubles that they usually had kept from mortal eyes.
However the cove was hidden, behind a large pillar of rocks that seemed only accessible by an underwater tunnel. As she sat on the rock, comping her hair with a jeweled shell comb she could here the faint boom of canon fire in the distance. Slipping back under the waves she gasped at the sight.
Two large ships lay on the horizon, surrounded by the faint panic of the crew and the loud thunderous boom of cannon fire. She swam toward the large ships slowly. Remaining deep under the water as she looked up from beneath as debris seemed to quickly fall into the waves.
