brightstyle replied your post Totally agree with all of this. The other companions got their badass moment, but she doesnt do amazing things, amazing things happen *to* her. Her badass moments are passive, not active and that pisses me off.
Amy = River incubator and everything that followed, the whole pregancy storyline is one of the most abominable things ever happened on DW, imho

Ugh, the whole pregnancy thing was awful, even worse was that they only address it once. Also, Amy giving up Rory over her inability to have children infuriated me. Way to take a serious issue and reduce it down to ploy to tug on heartstrings
Agreed. Don’t even get me started on how that ties into my dislike of River in general. (I liked her a lot more pre-finding out about her childhood/history/whatever. But I dislike her for a lot of the same reasons I dislike Amy.) If they wanted to have Amy give up Rory for the baby thing, they could have at least made it an actual plot that we saw hints of through several episodes, instead of just tossing it into one episode and having it resolved and never mentioned again after that. Amy was never allowed any chance to take control of her own body or her own feelings even after, never given a chance to resolve what happened to her. Never even allowed to express the fact that her baby had been taken away from her and was now an adult whose entire life she’d missed out on and who she’ll apparently rarely ever get to see because, you know, ‘wibbly wobbly timey wimey’ and all.
omg you poor thing, I can't even imagine having a texas christmas time where it's 90F. I'll keep taking pictures of snow so you can live vicariously as a Canadian.
YES PLEASE POST THEM, POST THEM ALL!
My kids have only seen snow twice in their lives. My youngest, who’s still too young to remember the last time she saw it, turned to me the other day and asked, “Mommy, is snow real?”
I made them snow cones with ice from the freezer, to prove that snow is real, and then we went to the park in our shorts and short sleeved shirts.
Also, in celebration of reaching 300 followers, much love to my Tumblr Crushes!
You lovelies are the real reason I’ve managed the followers I have, most of what I post comes from you!
What the hell is soda. Weird Americans. :P
i bet you don’t expect to be served your Coke on ice as a default either but pipe the fuck down this is goddamn America

Thank you. I’m tired of people being ashamed of being in the Sherlock fandom. Yes it can be crazy, but there`s a lot of amazing too.
We’re a huge fandom, there’re more probabilities of having stupid/crazy people but also BRILLIANT. We have the bad reputation but well, to John, Sherlock was first ‘the madman’ and think how brilliant he is. I want to think it happens the same with the fandom :)
BECAUSE CLEARLY YOUR SHIT IS AWESOME. Also, you're over 22, and I feel like we need to band together on tumblr. I start getting crazy eyes when I realize that most of the people I follow are almost 10 years younger than I am. TUMBLR RETIREMENT COMMUNITY UNITE!
OMG THANK YOUUUU
And yeah, I know that feel, bro. I live in constant dread that Chris Hansen is going to ask me to have a seat some day very soon.
I keep forgetting to ask Ash to be inducted into the retirement community.
I'm old and grumpy about change too. I thought about changing my url for halloween but that sounds suspiciously like effort and not being lazy.
I spent five minutes fumbling around in Paint, trying to paste a pumpkin on/near my green dress, then decided it would be faster to write 500 words about an orange gourd’s unrequited love for green satin, and the social and moral barriers to their love, and did that instead.
- theblueboxonbakerstreet replied your post would an epub file work? because I have one of those. easy to read if you have calibre (the program)
do epubs work on iphones and in ibooks?
I am so glad you founded the tumblr retirement home so I have people around who understand the terrifying days before youtube when all video was flash, the screechy sound dialup made and what a floppy disk was for. All the whippersnappers out there don't know how hard we had it back in the day.
Oh man, you are so right. We do a lot of commiserating about the “good old days” in the home. You know, between bingo and shuffleboard games ;)
Shall I find you a room? Regular or Velociraptor (30+) wing?
