Shirley Phelps is just fucking hilarious.
She has some incredibly fucked up idea of ‘God’ and all in all, she’s very clearly mentally unstable and delusional, and her, as well as the rest of Westboro Baptist Church need serious serious help. Never in my life have I come across a group of people so pathetic, ignorant, rude, hateful, disrespectful and downright insensitive as them.
They protest at dead soldier’s funerals, all the time hurling abuse and holding up home-made signs filled with some of the most ridiculous things I have ever heard. They teach their kids, almost as soon as they’re out of the bloody womb to hate people, they take 4 year olds to their protests and make them hold up signs and shout things that those kids don’t even understand. They also planned to picket the funeral of a 9 year old child who was shot, and they are head of many pathetic websites such as: GodHatesFags.com, GodHatesAmerica.com, PriestsRapeBoys.com, GodHatesIndia.com etc. WBC have described Italy as “a nation of mobster-breeding perverts”, Barack Obama as “the antichrist” and believe that “every tragedy in the world is caused by homosexuality”. They are ridiculous. Fred & Shirley Phelps are the most ridiculous/hilarious, and then it’s just the rest of the members of their ‘church’, but the thing is, although it’s funny sometimes because the things they say really are ridiculous and so flawed, it’s actually really really scary. Really scary because I didn’t think it was possible for one human being to hold so much hatred for the world as they do.
I don’t know what God they believe in, but the Christian God (if he exists) teaches “Do to others as you would have them do to you” (Luke 3:61) and “So God created human beings in his image. In the image of God he created them” (Genesis 1:27). Now, I haven’t read the bible the whole way through, and there’s still many things I don’t know, but I do know some things, and I can apparently interpret and understand them in a much better way than the Phelps family/Westboro Baptist Church.
