I went to the Art Institute of Chicago today..

And it was like…the greatest art museum trip I’ve ever been on. Seriously. I just walked around in awe. ALL DAY.

I saw work by VAN GOGH. I was close enough to see every individual brush stroke.

I SAW PICASSO.

AND MONET.

MATISSE.

AND DALI.

SEURAT.

GEORGIA O’KEEFE.

DIEGO RIVERA.

RENOIR.

DEGAS.

CHAGALL.

The Impressionism exhibit was by far my favorite. All the colors and the brushstrokes are so individually beautiful. I can see the colors swirling around in my head, still.

And I saw American Gothic. That was great.

It just…wow.

It was almost too much. I didn’t even know what to do with myself after awhile.

I nearly had a heart attack picking out postcards of some of my favorites in the gift shop.

I don’t even know if I could handle going back. There’s so much there.
