Alvin Ailey @ the Apollo

You know that saying, I was in the right place at the right time? This phrase never rang so true as it did on Tuesday afternoon. Sitting in the office minding my own business and next thing I know I was gifted with two tickets to the Alvin Ailey at the Apollo. 

This talented group of dancers goes back to the late 1950’s, celebrating the African-American cultural experience fused with the American modern dance tradition. It was truly amazing to experience and our seats were fantastic. The Apollo theater is actually a lot smaller than one would think - they know their camera angles. 

Post performance, everyone went to a reception behind the Apollo theater that was absolutely fabulous. The decor reminded me of a summer night at the Delano. Check out these amazing pictures ….
