So, I recently watched all of the James Bond films for the first time (including Skyfall in theaters), in chronological order. Was a pretty interesting journey to see how the character slowly changes with the different actors and moreso how the general themes and styles of the movies kind of change and adapt to the various decades and changing times. Also, Skyfall was great as a movie on it’s own, not just as a Bond movie, and people should go see it..
I have half a mind to actually write up some more cohesive thoughts about the whole Bond mythos and the various eras and what I like and dislike about them all, but I’ve got so many thoughts now that I don’t really know where to start. So instead, since I am obsessed with lists, for now I’ll just list my rough ranking order of the 23 “official” Bond films, from best to worst. It should be noted that for me, villains are highly important and especially so for stories like Bond’s, so the villain was probably the biggest impact on ranking, with the other important factors being how well it kept me interested and how strongly I remember the movie/how many scenes from it I can look back on and remember fondly from it. Now I need to find fellow Bond people to discuss this shit with.

NO so why do i need to ‘cheer up’ when i’m perfectly fine!!
