Joe Rickey Hundley, the business executive who slapped a two-year-old toddler on a plane — dropping a racial slur in the process — is now out of a job, the Associated Press reports.

Al Haase, president and CEO of AGC, issued a statement early Sunday that, while not referring to Hundley by name, called reports of behavior by one of its executives on recent personal travel “offensive and disturbing” and said he “is no longer employed with the company.” Keeney would not say whether Hundley was fired or resigned. Hundley was president of AGC’s Unitech Composites and Structures unit.
Hundley was charged last week in federal court in Atlanta with simple assault for allegedly slapping the 2-year-old boy during the Feb. 8 flight. His attorney, Marcia Shein, of Decatur, Ga., said Saturday that Hundley will plead not guilty. The charge carries a maximum penalty of a year in jail.
When speaking to the mother, Joe Rickey Hundley reportedly told the child’s mother, Jessica Bennett, to “shut that (N-word) baby up” before slapping him, adding an extra level of messed-up-ness to the story.

On your birthday I write the date down a hundred times at work. I feel like shit for no reason. There’s something in the air but it’s probably just this oppressive Southern heat you ran away from.
On your birthday, it’s my boyfriend’s sister’s birthday too. She has a baby. She’s married to a Native American man with PTSD; they met in AA. He reminds me of you but he’s a lot nicer and probably doesn’t put bruises on his wife’s body because she said something the wrong way. It’s one of those coincidences I just shake my head at.
On your birthday I don’t eat breakfast; for lunch, I eat a chicken wrap and drink a huge cherry limeade from Sonic. At home I drink vodka, beer, red wine, and whiskey without getting drunk and I wonder if you were still legally sober, or just smoking pot and calling it sobriety. I wonder if you are drinking and if the girl you are with is used to the feeling of your hands around her neck. I wonder how long it will take her to leave you, if it will always have to be your idea that things are over.

I was thinking of making a Post about Redd. So here it is.
Redd is terrible, They are by far the worst of everything on tumblr. Ignoring the argument that they’re not actually a ‘true’ WoC (I think that argument is maybe a bit silly, race is defined by a lot more than external appearance. In fact I once heard that you could be racist to a white person? It was written in the Dictionary though, and you know how biased that is!).
Let’s instead look at Redd’s rhetoric, or perhaps Redd’s lack of ability to argue like a regular person. This is where I unfurl my giant banner that says it’s NEVER okay to say that you want someone to die. It’s NEVER okay to insult someone’s appearance (i.e “Ugly white bitch”). If you feel the need to do some sort of ad hominem attack squad thing then maybe you shouldn’t be involved in anything remotely political, you could perhaps go into the lucrative business of writing playground insults for children?
Redd is an embarrassment to everyone involved, They brings Social Justice into the gutter and I sincerely hope that they either stops or she loses her considerable platform.
