Tawny Peakssong 56 is super rad and it’s by my friend dexter’s band tawny peaks - they’re from jersey and really great. they’re working on something new and this song is a demo/alternate version of something new. it’s more lofi than i’m used to hearing them and it’s pretty cool to hear them this way - it suits them surprisingly well. regardless, im stoked to hear how the final version ends up too.

Why we like it:Holy shit I haven’t been this excited about emo in so long. This has been such a good year for emo and Tawny Peaks debut LP only adds to my excitement for the genre. For those of you that were already familiar with them, they’ve added a new member! They now have two vocalists. Charlie and Molly compliment each other very well as you can hear in “More Proof” (the song playing if you clicked play). Last summer when I posted the Harris Harris Harris EP, I said it was similar to American Football. While I really hate to compare bands to American Football, or any Kinsella band for that matter, I’m going to have to do it again. At times it’s mathy and maybe even jazzy? Get stoked on them and share it with your friends! They released the album on bandcamp. It’s name your own price!
