the romantic in me
I found myself falling in love
with your words, that’s all it was
the sensual and scintillating
nature of your writing
held me spellbound
and thinking of lusty
lewd acts, and of course
I then projected them upon
you, the writer, the instigator
of such feelings and emotions
and the river of reactions
that went pouring
and rushing through me.
but alas, they were
just words, nothing more
nothing less,
sent out in a steady stream
to the masses, or anyone
who would listen.
perhaps, maybe,
for someone, in particular
but sadly, and sometimes
yes, I’ll admit, regrettably
not for me.
Tantalizing tone.
I lay here
Mesmerized.
My pulmonary valves
Hault at the sound -
The sound that
Emanates from her
Beautifully well crafted larynx.
Entranced,
The four chambers
Of my heart,
Come at ease.
And the guards
Are drifting down,
Down into slumber.
Such sweet serenity, in this
Tantalizing tone.
