I HATE talking on the phone. It makes me so nervous and I screw everything I say up even more. My parents think it's so simple. "Just call them".

It’s not as simple as “just calling them”.

Here's the thing

As much as I don’t mind schoolwork (other than it chews away at the time that I could be spending writing), I don’t particularly like it. Appreciate it, yes; but not like. One of the reasons being that when I’m stumped, I have to ask for help. And I hate asking for help, because that means I have to talk to people and get into a conversation; which I am not very fond of.

That being said, I now have to have weekly conferences with my teachers about my class progression and projects. So, as I sit here writing this, I seriously think I am about to go into a panic attack because I have to call her on my phone and have this little chat-sy. And I hate talking on the phone with people, especially to those that I don’t know/know very well.

Okay. I interrupted your scrolling for a mini-rant. As you were.

Talking on the phone

My dad keeps yelling at me and telling me how useless I am because I don’t want to call up the bank and reset my password.

I just don’t like talking on the phone. I only use the phone when I absolutely have to like if I need an answer straight away.

How hard is that to understand?

That moment when...

You have an irrational fear of talking on the phone to someone you don’t know because you are scared that they will either reject you or destroy your hopes and dreams…

And then they do exactly that.
