Jessie hums along to the song playing on the radio as she fixes herself a cup of coffee, her back to the kitchen door. “I won’t even ask for snow…“ She trails off, singing over the words as she puts a packet of popcorn seeds into the microwave. “Oh, no. No more snow!” She hums the rest, unsure of the words before joining in, a little off key, “Baby, all I want for Christmas, is you!”
