Inscreva-sePSA for the PJO fandom
If you haven’t read the Mark of Athena yet or still aren’t finished with it, please do not go into any Percy Jackson related tags as there seems to be a bunch of extremely inconsiderate people posting photos of the ending pages today either without spoiler tags/warnings or cuts.
Quick PSA to my followers because I just remembered how lazy I am
If I ever reblog something that bothers or triggers you or whatever (aka I reblog stuff from a fandom you loathe), please tell me and I will tag it so you can savior it.
If you don’t have tumblr savior, please learn all about it here.
I think most people are cool with doing this but I like to post reminders. :>
Would people start tagging their fucking gore??
Scrolling down my dash today, from different people, i have seen a woman being hit and killed by a train, dead bodies hanging from meat hooks, lips sewn shut…
TAG YOUR FUCKING SHIT WITH GORE. I’m tired of feeling like im going to vomit.
Dead bodies, dead animals, body mutilation, etc etc TAG IT WITH GORE PLEASE DEAR LORD TAG THAT SHIT

On spoilers, tagging, and how not to be an ass
As I’ve mentioned before on here, I’m really serious about spoilers. I’ve threatened to unfollow even my sister if she spoiled me on something.
Now, I thankfully managed to avoid being spoiled on Doctor Who by avoiding Tumblr completely, and so I have not yet unfollowed anyone as a result of this. However, a number of people I follow (most of whom follow me back) have not been tagging their spoilers. If I had not avoided Tumblr, I most certainly would have been majorly spoiled.
Every time it’s happened, I’ve sent anonymous messages to these people gently reminding them to tag their spoilers, and most of the time, it turns out it was just a mistake - they got caught up in the excitement and forgot to tag one or two posts, and they quickly corrected their mistakes (note: this is still a bad thing. Try to avoid it.). However, in a few instances, I’ve gotten responses to the effect of “I never claimed this was a spoiler-free blog, so too bad! I never tag spoilers, suckers!”
There is a term for this, and it’s called “being an ass”. Look. I don’t care if your blog contains spoilers. My blog contains spoilers too, and I don’t apologize for that. But I tag my spoilers obsessively.

This makes it possible for interested parties to follow me while still avoiding being spoiled. By not tagging your spoilers, you make this impossible. The only way to avoid being spoiled by you is by not following you. It’s sort of like tagging trigger warnings (though obviously far less of a big deal - I don’t mean to trivialize triggers). If you don’t do it before being asked, it shows thoughtlessness. If you don’t do it after being explicitly asked to, it shows a deep disrespect for your followers.
If you’re reading this and thinking “wow gosh is he talking about me?” the answer is almost certainly yes. If you haven’t been tagging your spoilers, if you’ve received a message asking you to tag your spoilers, if you’ve blown off that message by claiming not to be a spoiler-free blog, if you’ve continued not tagging your spoilers, then I am talking to you right now.
TO: People Who Can’t/Won’t Tag Properly
What is so difficult about tagging your posts? Is it sheer laziness or are you that much of a callous dick that you don’t care if you’re bothering someone? And what about triggering posts and subject matter? Or do you really not care.
Yes, I understand, this is Tumblr and it’s your blog, so you can do what you like, of course. You can post a load of pictures of someone from your current favourite fandom and leave them untagged, that’s fine; people know where the unfollow button is. But when it comes to triggering content TAG THAT STUFF NOW. Cos how would you like it if you were scrolling through your dash and a load of untagged posts of dead bodies and cumshots appeared courtesy of me, since we all know I like dicks and murder. Yeah, it wouldn’t be pretty. That’s why I always tag things with #penis and #i love murder, and you can blacklist those things.
Always tag your posts that may upset/trigger someone else. And since that’s not so difficult, tag all the beige, ugly people you stan for too. Thanks. Have a nice day.
