sorry for the delay!! i got pretty burnt out after writing my long baeksoo headcanon but here goes chansoo :3 i feel like i didn’t do my otp justice but hope you enjoy
when or if I started shipping it.
i was aware of chansoo pretty early on and knew they were close but never really thought twice about them. i think this derp moment is when i really started to take notice, then this just killed me and they shot up to be my favorite :( and let’s not forget all of their ‘angel’ high fives
my thoughts:
i think chansoo’s a really sweet brotp type of ship (there aren’t too many ~romantic~ or ~*~eyesex~*~ moments like kaisoo or anything), so it might be surprising that they’re my favorite otp. there are a lot of reasons for this but i think the biggest is that kyungsoo seems to be the most comfortable and secure around chanyeol. it may be definitely is the crazy shipper talking in me but kyungsoo’s eyes here (and also here) are so soft and trusting with chanyeol, like a friend you’ve known all your life or just someone you’re really close with. this moment is also cute as hell (how the hell are you going to protect him, you’re like three quarters of his size kyungsoo) and an interaction i can’t imagine happening with a lot of other ships. as for chanyeol, he too is comfortable with kyungsoo of course and seeks him out a lot but to be honest it’s nothing you couldn’t find in a lot of the other popular chanyeol ships. but i do think chansoo is a little special in that chanyeol has a lot of protective feels for kyungsoo, always looking out and waiting for him (lots of airport moments) and worrying about him (that time kyungsoo hurt his eye). chanyeol also likes to play around with kyungsoo a lot, tapping him on the shoulder and pretending it wasn’t him or taking away his hand at the last minute when asking for a high five. you can tell kyungsoo doesn’t mind at all which again is a sign of how close they are. also they have lots of common interests and you can see their slow influence on each other (just like how you sort of start resembling your friend after hanging out with them a lot?) also it’s damn precious that they go shopping together :3333 more of this please
What makes me happy about them:
EVERYTHING. they’re my happy ship & give me warm fuzzy feels all the time. chanyeol is kyungsoo’s closest chingu & you can tell, since kyungsoo lets his guard down & jokes around with him, shows off more of his 4D nature etc. & chanyeol o m g he is downright clingy with kyungsoo (kim jongin status but more proactive instead of ~wistful stare~). best example is when he’s in line to get in the car and he actually leaves his spot to go stand next to kyungsoo /way to be obvious dude/. anyway just look at how radiant they both look (esp kyungsoo SO HAPPY ;___;) also don’t forget their height difference (seriously perfect)
What makes me sad about them:
NOTHING! except that they should be more appreciated :3 (but actually i think there are a lot of chansoo shippers). again they are my happy ship!!!
things done in art/fic that annoys me:
nothing really. idk i think any chansoo fic/art can go wild bc there isn’t a particularly specific dynamic with chansoo (they’re very close & comfortable with each other, end of story) so as long as that element is there, i think i’d like it.
things I look for in art/fic:
no real preference! or maybe whipped!chanyeol cos i could dig that.

My happily ever after for them:
i think this is the first one where i’m just going to write domestic bliss. happy vanilla marriage ok! it’d be so sweet and loving and they’d be that perfect secure couple that never particularly catches anybody’s eye, nor do they have lots of PDA or anything, but the two would be in their own little world & really fit each other (…i don’t think what i just wrote makes any sense but whatever). i also really like the idea of them just staying as bros & sitting on their rockers on a porch when they’re 80 sipping lemonade and reminiscing about the good old times.
what is their favorite non-sexual activity:
going shopping together, with chanyeol offering to hold kyungsoo’s bags and kyungsoo going along with it b/c why the hell not (remember this happened?), fooling around in ikea lying on all of the beds and pretending they’re living in those showrooms a la 500 days of summer, making each other listen to their favorite hip hop songs and rapping along out of tune, chanyeol cooking for kyungsoo & kyungsoo realizes it’s totally better than any of the food he makes & he gets pressed so chanyeol tries all kinds of silly things to lighten his mood (….i’ve realized this question is just a dump for all my fic prompts that i hope will one day be written by someone)

Baeksoo a.k.a. "we could have had it all" couple :'(
when or if I started shipping it.
i think baeksoo was the first ship i boarded after getting into exo, at first simply because they were my #1 and #2 biases. except most everyone else said they weren’t a thing ;___; which brings us to the next question
my thoughts:
i have a L O T of thoughts about this ship (sorry in advance followers). baeksoo isn’t popular in intl fandom with good reason - they don’t have a lot of moments, especially not compared to baekyeol or kaisoo. the moments they do have aren’t super feel-inducing either — there’s a lot of baekhyun making fun of kyungsoo or sideeyeing him really hard. i think the first reason baeksoo is so cute though is that kyungsoo’s the one initating a lot of the time, grabbing baekhyun to whisper something in his ear, giggling at him, etc. it’s not like this happens particularly often but it goes to show how much baekhyun doesn’t dote on kyungsoo compared to pretty much every other member of exo. frankly the two aren’t very close although they totally have the potential to be — baek entered sm and wanted to become close with kyungsoo but found it difficult (might be bc of jongin LOL, but also kyungsoo is just one of those people difficult to approach or become friends with at first). perhaps because baek couldn’t really approach kyungsoo he became fond of annoying/picking on him (like sesoo minus the doting plus different cause they’re chingus), thus kyungsoo thought baek didn’t really like him, etc. etc. anyway i totally read this interaction as mildang - baek ignoring or only teasing kyungsoo caught kyungsoo’s attention (“why doesn’t he like me o__o”) and although it’s obvious baek /does/ care about kyungsoo, he doesn’t want to show it (seriously that gifset…you only look away when you don’t want your feelings to get caught HMMMM?) but once they have a huge fight and finally confront their feelings, TRUE LUB :333 or true friendship, w/e
What makes me happy about them:
THEY’RE CUTE. specifically kyungsoo is so cute in all baeksoo interactions (none of that dgaf/ignoring you see in other ships) & when baek gives kyungsoo an ounce of attention i get lots of fuzzy feels :3 also maybe this is delu fangirl talking but i just get excited imagining how close they’ll get as time goes on :D
What makes me sad about them:
pretty much everything else. baeksoo gives me lots of angst heartbreak kill me now feels (baek please stop acting like an eight-year-old boy picking on a girl he has a crush on ;~;) but they make me sad in a good way if that makes sense?
things done in art/fic that annoys me:
i’ve read mostly kfic for baeksoo and though there are a lot of good ones, of the ones i’ve read i find that their dynamic (as i see it) isn’t particularly captured well. or that baekhyun and kyungsoo are captured very well as individuals but their dynamic together is a lot sweeter (?) than irl…which is understandable and not so much a pet peeve or anything, but something i slightly wish could be improved on. also i seriously cannot tell the difference between baekdo (where baek tops) and obaek (where kyungsoo tops) fics…
things I look for in art/fic:
anything that captures their dynamic appropriately. also just anything at all in intl fandom!!! i welcome all baeksoo pls :3
Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other:
baekhyun with kris, chanyeol, actually a lot of people, and kyungsoo with chanyeol/jongin huhu
My happily ever after for them:
honestly i just wish for them to be closer. i dream of a super tight knit 92-line, which is already great but i want it to be even greater!!! but i think when jongin isn’t being such a cockblock they will or already have become a lot closer because they’re similar in a lot of ways and can have that close relationship that chansoo and baekyeol have with each other, and they have a lot to learn from each other as well. it’d also be nice to just have a super vanilla relationship after a tumultuous start my baeksoo heart is weeping just thinking about it.
what is their favorite non-sexual activity:
going to karaoke together and singing all the cheesy duet songs, kyungsoo laughing at the dumbest things in an amusement park and baekhyun rolling his eyes but smiling along, baekhyun cheering up kyungsoo when he’s down by doing kkap that kyungsoo can’t help but laugh at but it’s also really annoying so he throws all nearby objects at baek, the list goes on…

Palimpsestpanther’s questions for me:
- Do you prefer to dance with or without a partner? I prefer to dance without a partner. Why? Because I feel confident that way. I am not a great dancer, so I feel as though when I am dancing with someone else it hinders me from fully expressing myself. I have never taken a dance lesson, but I love to dance. I will do it by myself in my room at night, or at parties. I just love dancing alone, and getting into my own groove.
- What is your favorite medium for art? Why? Good question. For myself, I love mixed media. It allows me to include writing, colors, textures, and paints. I made a “personal shrine” last year that was mixed media, and I would love to do more projects like that. It was amazing to incorporate all kinds of different materials. As far as medium to marvel at…I love to look at paintings. I don’t know why. They are just so beautiful! I also love film. I think film can be a beautiful way for one to express themselves.
- What culture calls to you and makes you want to explore it more? I would have to say the English culture. I have always wanted to live in London,and had thoughts that I would somehow end up there. The history, the architecture, the enchanting english gardens…the art, the abundance of theaters, and galleries…I feel like it has it all. Folklore, the religious cathedrals.. I am drawn to it.
- Any tattoos? Describe them please! Tattoo-less
- What activity do you want to try? Pole dancing as exercise. I have been wanting to take classes for a while. Looks amazingly fun and expressive. Any ladies want to attend a class with me?!
- What book did you reread many times as a young adult? If you don’t reread, which book profoundly moved you? I always loved Of Mice and Men when i was a little girl. I remembering reading that many times. Sad, but really moved me. The Catcher in the Rye has also been one that I have re-read. I am on the path of discovering books from what has been required of me in school though. Right now I am so hooked on Jacqueline Carey’s Kushiel’s Dart (THANK you Emily Joy xxxxx)
- Are you a morning person? Psh, no.I sleep soooo late. I wish I was though. There is something so great about waking up early. I just stay up too late to do it.
- Would you rather have striped or spotted skin? Spotted. I love Cheetahs!
- Do you smoke hookah? I do, I do!
- What would be your dream paint color for your room? My dream room is very natural looking with a lot of wood work. I wouldn’t be so picky as the color, but the other stuff that would go in it. I see it being a very light and ethereal color, or a very deep, sensual color. Either one would be ideal.
- What is your favorite part of your body and why? I love my neck/collarbone area. I just love this on any female.I have a beautiful freckle to the right of my neck that both my mom and grandma have in the same placement. I love that.
